I still don’t think Utd are amazingly well coached and it’s more the talents of the individuals clicking than a coherent attacking plan. Thankfully for you guys you have just about the most talented attacking individuals in possibly the world
Was a good win and we didn’t play completely terrible football for a change spurs really are City’s bogey team
I think there’s been a coherent attacking plan when we’ve played Leeds twice at Old Trafford. We’ve brutally exposed them in a similar manner both times. I agree about the coaching but a lot of it’s more to do with a lack of drilling than having any plan, we just wouldn’t get the results we do if there wasn’t one.
Yeah thought you moved through the first two thirds well with the ball after the first twenty. It’s always going to be defensive in this game but you looked so dangerous, even without Kane. I think Kane plays and it’s a bigger scoreline, your forwards are pretty crap at picking out runners apart from Kane.
So it was Braithwaite that Messi was holding back after all.

Yeah I meant in terms of drills and attacking spacing rather than individual game approach. This Utd team will always be devastating on the counter especially against a team who favours a man marking system.
Apparently Ole’s goal is to make Rashford/GreenwoodSancho the new Steve’s/Ronaldo/Rooney. Which is bold.
I think he just means he wants a multifunctional attack where there's plenty of fluidity, movement and rotation. The same thing was being said about Rashford, Greenwood and Martial a couple of seasons ago by some in the media.
There will always be comparisons between our current attack to the one of Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez but I don't think we'll ever be able to replicate that front three.
Besides more quality what our 07/08 attack had over this one was a phenomenal workrate, not so much Ronaldo obviously but the other two. Rooney and especially Tevez were maniacs out of possession, constantly pressing and tracking back.
One of the problems with our attack now is that it doesn't help out defensively as much as it should. Yes we press well at times although our pressing could still be better and much more consistent but our wide attackers don't put the effort in when working back towards their own goal. Whether that's down to instruction I'm not sure but it's something that needs to change. We need to start defending better as a unit.
I think it’s instruction, but it’s a weakness in their games by the looks of things.
Part of me doesn’t want a striker because Greenwood, Rashford, Sancho and Bruno could be such a fun attack.
If you added in Haaland it would be pretty fun as well. Dortmund's attack is and that's even without Sancho. I get what you mean though.
I think it's going to require a really good season from Greenwood and possibly Martial for us to not attempt to sign a striker next summer. Even then we may still go for one I don't know.
I think we'll lose Cavani whatever happens because it seems he took some convincing to stay on for this season.
We may see Haaland as too good a player to turn down but if we can't get him, we'll stick with what we have. That's if Kane is at City.
Yeah but I like Greenwood more than I like Haaland, even if the latter is much better right now.

imo messi has inhibited quite a few players during his Farza career
wouldn't be surprised if greasyman and braithwaite start playing much better this season

While I agree that having Messi in the team inhibited the style of play,Greissman has been underwhelming since joining Barca and Braithwaite does not have sufficient quality. I think there are some good young players coming through but Barca will have to transition from being a quick passing possession based team to being a more counter attacking team. After 20 years of beautiful football, that may be a little difficult for the cules to swallow!
I’m taking the mick, but he probably has. Though I think Griezmann’s problem is that he’s not especially good at football.
Thinking of going to Madrid for a weekend in October time. The restrictions are putting me off slightly it seems like what it was here before they just said for all. Is that right?

Emile Hesky in a blond wig
To get others clubs take on it: it would be mad for Spurs to accept the £100m +25/30m add ons that City are offering for Kane?
Seems like they keep trying to lowball Spurs who clearly want closer to the £150m mark
It’s absurd money. But when Lukaku is going for what he has, Spurs are justified in wanting that. There’s so few top cf’s now and Kane’s arguably the best.
Yeah I don’t think you can spend £100m on Grealish and then try to pay the same for Kane
I presume the add ons would be easily achievable, and just a way of spreading the payments. But even still, Spurs are still within their rights to demand more.
£130m is still a good deal. But it’s not maximising Kane’s value to Spurs. He’s so much more than just a striker for them. He’s got such a huge profile, and they just cannot sign a player that can replace that.
I do think this whole Kane not going to training thing is quite funny, to be honest. Some people hold footballers to a higher standard than our politicians and the royal family.
People act like it’s heinous that a player wouldn’t turn up to training. I really don’t think it’s the big deal people make it out to be.
