*but that unapologetic capitalism still exists there. It wouldn’t sit right with me really.

I guess its more the fact that I don't think the UK is much better these days (and getting worse) which means it isn't as much of a moral dilemma.

Sadly it’s starting to shift that way.

The BT pundits hyping up Phil Foden yesterday was ridiculous. You’d think they were talking about Messi the way the spoke about him. I don’t think he’s even as good as Saka, to be honest.

He was pretty awesome yesterday - but I don't really know what to make of him as I don't watch City much anymore.

England have a bunch of players like him or Saka on that level below the likes of Kane (arguably Sterling) in which the order of "should they play" for England changes almost monthly.

Saka just impresses me more whenever I watch them both. Especially as he plays in a crap team, I think he’d be unreal in this City team as he has the sort of intelligence that Sterling has. It’s no contest for England, Saka’s looked much better. Foden and Mount haven’t justified the game time they’ve been given in an England shirt.

He’s very good, just getting massively overhyped.

I like Grealish for England and think he really suits international football

posted on 6/4/22

The problem for Grealish with England is that he’s not as good as Sterling on the left and Southgate doesn’t trust him as an attacking mid.

posted on 6/4/22

That is true, he's too adventurous to play in the midfield for Southgate.

Tbh I'm a lot more chilled now Bellingham turned out to be ridiculously good and Rice has continued to improve

I just can’t stand watching Mason Mount in the England midfield. It’s like watching Jordan Henderson in an England shirt but an attacking mid.

Apparently the matches at the world cup could be extended to 100 minutes.

Lol whut?

100 mins suits nations like ours who have about a million fullbacks and midfielders at a similar level

Who'd be the backup Striker this upcoming tournament? TammyA?

Whuts the reason?

posted on 6/4/22

I suspect it’s due to the debate around how long the ball is actually in play. Nothing is confirmed yet.

Dunno, I think Watkins would offer something none of the others do. But then, even though he’s not very good, DCL is amazing in the air - I’m surprised we didn’t use him at the Euros to spam crosses/aim for him at set pieces.

We could end up taking three strikers anyway, it’s going to be a 26 man squad by the sounds of things.

You can't pick DCL on this form though - I appreciate players should be picked based on their international performances, but he's been shocking since coming back from injury

Oh, so there wud b no added time?

Using a freakin wurld cup too test out a new idea ffs

I tellu, if Napoli win league this season i aint gonna watch any more if this pathetic aborshun of a ‘sport’

Go out on a high m concentrait on proper sports like Cornhole

I’m not sure if it replaces added time, I think it might just be a change to regulation time. Infantino is a facking twaaat, so who knows.

Only one point behind Milan now?

Milan still play Atalanta and Nazio. Sarri doing Napoli a favour would be grate.
