Is it just me who feels like their club isn't just hopeless now, but is hopeless for the future too? We have no prospects as a club at all.

Don't see any meaningful direction or ambition to compete at the top.

Yeah but you still get CL occasionally, sign big players and are, commercially, in a different stratosphere to Arsenal. You're not in danger of any permanent mid table mediocrity.

I can't say the same for my club.

I don’t think that’s true of Arsenal either. There’s similarities with United, albeit on a smaller scale. The floor for both clubs is still higher than most.

What have you seen over the last 4-5 years that makes you think Arsenal won't be a permanently mid table side? Especially with Newcastle soon to be emerging as a super power, which increases the competition.
