Rube swapping Pjanic for him must be one of the worst transfers ever.
----
I don't think it'd be easy to hard to find a transfer that went so awfully for all four parties involved: both players and both clubs.
Oh it would be really easy. Sanchez and Mkhi swap.
Was that a swap? I don't remember, thought Sánchez left on a free...and did things really go that much worse for Mkhi? Wasn't he already a bit-part player at Utd?
The other one...both supposed to be useful players...barely played at all thereafter, went completely to shiiiit...same as the clubs....hold on, which clubs/players are we talking about now?
It was a swap. It was a disaster for everyone involved.

I thought Manchester got the better deal at the time.😝
Alexis got a fantastic deal though.
Oh god, don't remind me. Actually think arsenal came off worse because we rejected 60m for Alexis in the previous window.
He got Ronaldo/Messi money for League One performances.
Speaking of making a killing, how about the players who went to China during the two or three seasons they were throwing money around like they had a license to print it. Wasn't Tévez supposed to be the world's best paid footballer at one point?
Farza sign Bellerin , in a last minute deal
I’m not sure he was ever earning as much as Messi and Ronaldo. I do wonder what happened with that, it’s China so it’s not like the contracts would be worth the paper they were printed on when the CCP decided to stop all investment into the league.
Arsenal have had 3 bids rejected for Douglas Luiz
Not sure whey they want him. Looks very ordinary.
Desperation because Partey and Elneney are crocks

From Wikipedia
"Tevez signed for Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua, on a reported annual salary of $41 million, which would make him the world's highest-paid football player. Tevez subsequently played down the reports he became the highest-paid player in the world following his move, saying, "My salary isn't as high as the legends."
I suppose that $41M, if true, was still not as much as Messi was later revealed to have been on. Tévez knew.
By the way, a bit further down, it reads:
"He was criticised by manager, Wu Jingui during his time in Shanghai for being overweight and unfit to play. Tevez described his time in China as a "holiday".
Cheeky bᴜgger
Argentina legend and former Boca player Maradona described his return as "perfect".
"He filled Santa's sack with dollars and now he has returned to Boca,"
Tevez
He’s manager of Rosario Central now.
Arab, I meant more that I thought they’d be looking at someone better.

Think edu wanted him, dunno about arteta.
Looks like you’ve left yourself a little short in that areas. January could be important.
Yeah, just have to hope Lokonga is a sticky enough plaster to last until partey or elneny come back. Or until the world cup if they're out for a long time.
A winger was what we really needed man. Don't really have any options if martinelli or saka get injured.
At least you didn’t get Zakayoko.
What’s that young Brazilian lad you signed meant to be like?
Done well in the u23's. Reports say he's surprisingly physically well developed for his age. I guess we'll see what he's made if in the Europa.
I’m looking forward to the Europa to hopefully see some of our youngsters get a look in. Shame about Hannibal going on loan, he’s a fun player to watch.
