Might have been a Chelsea game then, what I'm sure of is that he didn't score, but he did everything you could ask of a striker other than that. Was a constant pest, kept getting himself into positions, playing team mates in, and he kept at it even after missing several chances ... it was an all round impressive display for such a young player, and he exuded huge confidence too.
Ahh Moyes, the facking priiiiiiiick. Will never forget those humiliations to City and Liverpool that season.
I did similar with kane ioag but it was after a league cup game v Sheffield united that I think che Adams scored the winner in. Was just his awareness and link up play I liked.
ioag, think he scored twice against Chelsea as well.
I get what you are saying but as you say it was the breakthrough season, it all came together for him that year. Nobody expected that having seen him flop on loan in the championship and play some bit part role for Spurs prior to that. Credit to him, he’s transformed himself as a player.
Maybe it was my breakthrough season, not his.
weird match tbh
thought madrid were poor throughout...yer still won 1-2
tie definitely not over
varane worries me alot tbh
i think he's so overrated
Worry for Bayern is that you got the job done despite playing poorly.
We’ll take him off your hands. You can have Rojo in exchange.
Considering Bayern were without Neuer, Alaba, Vidal (and Robben) I was expecting us to have a go at them and bag away a couple of away goals. Tie definitely not over tho.
I don't think we can play that badly twice.
A lot of work to do still, but we came away with an incredible result tonight.
Real need some serious investment in the summer
And they should keep Zidane even if they get knocked out of the CL, the players clearly love him
How do they need serious investment?
Real could have gone on holiday for 9 months this season and still win the CL. I'm not sure they've even left Madrid yet for tonight's game and still won.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think they need a striker, winger and some defensive signings
They’ll probably replace Navas at long last as well
Doesn’t mean they need serious investment. They have the best squad in Europe.
Will be interesting to see what they do in the summer though. They’ve got some ageing players and if they do make it three in a row you wonder whether they’ll look at it as the final push and maybe rebuild for the longer term, even though they’ve probably still got something left in the tank for the CL in the coming seasons.
Dunno Perez was saying how much he wants him to be here for the next few years the other day. Can’t call Madrid’s transfer policy anymore. We’ve been saying they’ll sign this player and that player and replace this player and that player for years and they haven’t. They used to be far more predictable.
Don’t they have big debt problems though?
Imagine if they got Kane, and Ronaldo put a cross in and Kane almost touched it and it went in and Kane claimed it. Imagine there would be no issues
Louis van Gaal back in Januari on his 'retirement': "If it's a big, English club...then I might be interested in getting one over on Manchester United.'
Louis van Gaal on Dutch tv channel Ziggo: 'I still get a lot of offers...and now I've had an offer that I think I can't refuse...No, I can't share any more than this.'
