It’s Ray Hudson’s nickname for Xavi, because he could see everything on the pitch.

The gap between the top two in Turkey and third is hilarious. Did Barca and Madrid ever finish 30+ points ahead of third, back when they were way out in front?

Ahh of course, 11/12 was brutal. Madrid got 100 points, Barca 91 and Valencia 61.

That was a reference to you eating avocado cream.

Any of you lot know much about Sebastian Hoeness (Uli’s nephew) and the work he’s done with Stuttgart? Seems to have been overshadowed by Alonso but is arguably as impressive.

Stuttgart had avoided the relegation play offs in 21/22 on gd, then last season were bottom of the league with eight to play before they brought in Hoeness - they won 3, drew 4 and lost 1 to get into the relegation play offs, where they thrashed Hamburg.

They’ve since transformed into the third best team in the league, but not only that, they’ve done it with a complete change in the style of football from a counter attack team to one that is only marginally bettered in possession by Leverkusen and Bayern.

This was also after selling Endo and Mavropanos, their best midfielder and defender, and bringing in a few players for cheap and some loans - they made huge profits on player trading this summer due to these incomings and outgoings.

Leverkusen have obviously reached an incredible level this season, but that sort of turnaround from Stuttgart is almost Leicester like as they were a legitimate relegation team, unlike Leverkusen who were an underperforming CL team.

And they could actually pip Bayern to second on the last day if they lose to Europa chasing Hoffenheim, and Stuttgart win at home to a Monghengladbach team that are on the beach.

Stuttgart win 4-0 and Bayern lose 4-2 after being 2-0 up.

What an achievement to finish second. Gonna start my Hoeness propaganda from this point on.

Dunno much about Seb H myself, but they've been talking about him a lot in Germany for months. I'm surprised Bayern didn't announce him soon after Alonso said he was staying put. Maybe SH has turned 'em down too.
