Hi ping-pong.
On the other hand, Marcelo keeps getting picked whenever he's passed match-fit, despite being in shocking shape.
Hi IOAG
I love Marcelo, he’s been tremendously good for you. I know he’s not playing well, and certainly like Isco deserves to be dropped. But, it probably depends on other option for his position, you may have more option for Isco’s position ?
Definitely more options to cover for Isco, but Marcelo's been so poor that right now I'd rather put someone there out of position than have him nominally occupying a space he's currently unable to cover.
As to who, I'd go for Valverde. He's a left-sided midfielder who's impressed in the few chances he's had for us and didn't really look out of place in the few minutes he had to fill in at left back against Viktoria Plzen when Marcelo went off. He'd be sure to provide an attacking outleft from the left, and is at least in the right physical condition to have a body at left back instead of a suspicious lump stranded half way up the pitch.
You know what it is like with managers nowadays, they always go for the safest option. Chelsea had the same issues with managers for a decade.
Yeah, I know, and Solari knows his players infinitely better than me, more so Valverde, as I think he already worked with him at Castilla.
But really, if Marcelo right now is indeed the safest option, then may all the gods helps us.
Sometimes, players go through difficult periods, probably the right word for this is complacency, which is understandable, winning three CL in the row takes some effort tbf. Also, he’s getting on a bit ? Not surprised, he’s probably in the downward trajectory and needs replacing ?

This is hilarious from Fabianski and Chesney
Yeah. Confirmed the rumours that our coaching was horrendous.
It’s more than Mourinho deserves.
That’s amateur stuff if it’s true.

So, the Libertadores final is going to be played at ... the Bernabéu
7th straight league win for Cádiz
only the Bernabeu is important enough to host such a big match outside it's confederation
only the guardia civil are tough and brutal enough to control those argie fans
any messin' around and skulls will be cracked
Looks like the all-Colombian Copa Sudamericana was juicy.
4 red cards . Atlético Junior still won, despite playing 9v11 for some time, and 10v11 for around half the game.
