Shaughnessy was lucky with his last ditch tackle because he played the man and not the ball.

Hey Hampshire - genuinely get you don't agree with me and I appreciate the response because it was tempered and there's lots of people on here who aren't quite so restrained. I have a strong opinion on Wood and I get v frustrated by him. I know I'm probably in the minority but I express my opinion every so often cos that's what this site is about and it keeps it interesting doesn't it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It does indeed. However I don't agree with calling Wood a "plank", he scored over 30 goals last season and should have had one tonight. If we remember rightly, he started slowly last season too. In regards to him having his head turned, I can't comment on that, you might be right. I certainly hope not.
-----------------------------------
Fair enough Hamps... Appreciate it's a bit harsh but I think if you weigh up the chances he gets versus those he scores and his overall contribution he's lucky that we paid £3m for him, let alone that someone wants to splash out £20m for him! Again, just my opinion - and I would love him to prove me wrong and score another 30 for us this season and then double figures for us again in the Premier - but I think he's had his day and reached his peak and we need to cash in and give others a chance. Good debate tho' - MOT!
Lots of positives to take from this game. Especially from the 2nd half.
Wood, next time you're one on one with the goalkeeper, go past him. That'll most likely get you a goal or a penalty.
Stick your foot out, and the cross from Dallas would've enden in the net.

possibly wingman, but I think overall he put in a pretty good shift

Agreed that he misses a lot of chances, but so did Beckford. I appreciate your argument for selling him but with only two weeks left of the transfer window isn't it a bit risky to upset the balance/harmony of the squad at this stage? ALAW!
Maybe Woods missing his master from last season, sometimes that bit of help of the pitch carry's you that bit further when you need it!..
But than and again, things off the pitch now wont be doing much to help our course, if he's got 20mil stuck in his head that's some anchor to pull against!..
Am I really reading that Wood misses lots of chances? He got 30 goals last season in a team that created very little. He's clinical. Missed a good chance vs Preston yeah, tonight it was a tough angle and he scored what looked like a decent goal called offside
wingman you do talk some rubbish, why keep harping on about bringing doukara on when he wasnt even in the squad
Shaughnessy may be the find of the season for Leeds United!
Probably my only comment on here tonight, .......................Come Onnnnnnnnnnnnnn Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds!!!

I'm on N/Shift Thanks Sky Sports
Oh Well, reckon I've got a better excuse than Wood for not turning up
