It took less than 2 minutes from replying to a Tweet from a wendies fan today, to getting a "SCAB" reply. It was a fairly innocuous comment from myself
It's slightly confusing as I've never been polled regarding any strikes in my working life, let alone broke one, I've never worked down a pit and I wasn't even a teenager when the miners strike occurred.
I guess it's the default reaction from Yorkshite folk and like attendance comments are from sheep.
I thought you should know about this event and thoughts around it. I'm definitely not bored waiting for a change to commence
Pretty stupid and mindless really; especially as the last deep mined pit in Britain has now closed.
I don't get it really, Forest represent the city whereas most of the mines were out in the county. You'd think if we get it, Mansfield, Notts and even Derby would as well.
That's without considering the politics behind it.
I guess some families have trouble moving on
I used to live up in Chesterfield back then and travel down to Nottm every day. They were grim times, driving a blue Ford Escort on occasion didn't help either!
It's Yorkshire tourettes!

Hoping for another goal fest. I fancy Forest to nick this 2-1.
My first car was light blue Ford Escort RFB, my Dad got a banger from a local garage. Had to bump start it for a week or so after that, still managed to get caught speeding the day after my test though
Apparently Vaughan isn't available, think he makes a huge difference in MW style. Hopefully after a bit longer with his new team mates Bridcutt can help
I apologise on behalf of the idiot on Twitter and on behalf if a few thousand of our fans tomorrow who will no doubt unleash a chorus of 'scabs at some point during the match. Out of interest, do you get it at any other ground? I hope you don't mind me jumping on here. The Wednesday board died long ago. Should be a decent game tomorrow. Expect lots of sideways and backwards passing from us even with a forward line most would envy. Added spice for me in that I have a Forest supporting brother. I don't have fond memories of this fixture either. I was there when Stuart Pearce relegated us in 1990 and also witnessed Bryan Roy tear us apart in a game you won 7-1 at Hillsborough. Oh and a 4-0 spanking you gave us at the City Ground in which I think David Johnson scored after being on loan at us. I should probably stay away tomorrow....
We won 5-0 just in case bear and will want to pop over to convey their heart felt best wishes.
Imagine if Butterfield scored the winner tomorrow night.
I'd laugh.
Cracking result there Igor...and thanks for sharing for those of us who don't have the internet.
Welcome to the top six mate and keep that spot warm for us
Hull are in a bit of a mess aren't they? The other guy that Rowett has taken on loan [the loan that didn't fall through] was still on the Wendies website yesterday under First Team Players!
That result against the sheep does suggest that Hull will struggle this season.
Having said that of course they will probably turn their season around against us
Rowett' hoofball tactics are effective. So fair play to them it's a great result
Looking forward to seeing your boys on the tellybox tonight
I've not felt this confident since we played Barnsley.
The two players we had to fear were Forestieri and Nuhiu. Forestieri is out and Nuhiu hasn't been starting for them. Their keeper is injured, and manager banished to the stands.
I can't see there being too many changes if any. I'd like to see Brereton and Carayol get on the pitch though. Their pace and directness could change the game in the last twenty minutes if needed.
Nobody worries about Nuhiu. He never starts games and only makes an appearance for the last few minutes it's if we are winning. Most Wednesday fans groan whenever he makes the matchday squad and are perplexed that Winnall went out on loan and George Hurst can't even make the bench but Nuhiu does
*Hirst. Silly predictive text
I'm surprised by the confidence among our fans after the last game and given we're missing Vaughan. Could go either way and I wouldn't be surprised at all if we lost. Weds we're in play offs last season and clearly have some quality players. We are still very dodgy at the back so I really hope Bridcutt shields our CBs today
I think the level of performance against Leeds was down to tiredness. It was our third tough game in 8 days following 'brough, and 2 hours against Newcastle.
Tiredness won't be a problem today. Vaughan will obviously be missed but I think we will still have enough quality.
Hope so Red. I still can't get away from the negative feeling I have before games over the last 5 years or so (probably longer).
I hope Smith has a good game. Warburton obviously doesn't think he's up to it.
Wow; didn't expect that.
I did say we had enough quality though
Smith
Darikwa Worrall (C) Hobbs Fox
Bridcutt Osborn
Cummings Clough McKay
Brereton
Wasn't expecting that.
Team looks good though.
Finally Hobbs is on the field!!!
Worral is somehow captain
