It's the championship, crap often rises to the top, look at Cardiff.

As for the prem, shows how weak that is as well, Huddersfield not even conceded a goal in their first three games.

Just as a reminder for all those pant wetters who think we're not scoring enough, remember this:-

Huddersfield only scored 56 goals with a -2 goal difference, yet are plying their trade in the Premier League.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really a pant wetter, I don't think, but that info re Udders is reassuring.

posted on 10/9/17

Don't think it's pant wetting to want your team to turn its dominance in to goals, rather than be hanging on to a shaky one goal lead.

Huddersfield got promoted with one of the lowest goal totals in history and then after drawing every one of their three play off games and winning a penalty shoot out. If our ambition is to scrape promotion by the skin of our teeth then let's follow their example.

Personally I cant see 56 goals being enough to get promoted in the vast majority of seasons and I would like to set our sights on scoring 20 or 30 goals more than them as most promotion teams do. From what we have seen so far our failure to turn performances into goals would be the most likely reason we could fall short

Over any period I'd six games I'd settle any day for five 1-0 wins and a defeat, rather than four 4-0 wins and 2 defeats but, yes, given the choice five 4-0 wins would be nice, six would be even better.

To be honest DJ I expect everyone on here would like to get to the Prem the way we were promoted from D1, but I suspect 99% would grab with both hands scraping promotion if it was offered to us.

Swansea 62%-38% Newcastle

You know the rest

posted on 10/9/17

We will somewhere around 65-70 goals at a guess, that will be enough with the 27 or so wins

posted on 10/9/17

I accept that wulfrun but while I don't expect us to get 4 every week I dont think we can just rely on keeping clean sheets to win games and after dominating yesterday's game we should have been more of a goal threat than we were and established more than a one goal lead. Millwall were totally outplayed and yet still in with a chance of getting something from the game until Ruddy made a good save in the 93rd minute

posted on 10/9/17

Just start Cavaleiro as it is an absolute fact we score more goals when he is on the pitch and carry a bigger threat.

Exactly We should aspire to scoring lowly, like Huddersfield. That will surely be the way. "Hare Kara, Hare Kara...

You are so disrespectful of other sides, it becomes embarrassing. Please pipe down.

I'm sure the reason we spent so many years in the Championship was because one or two on 'ere were disrespectful to other clubs. Pride comes before a fall.

on our current level of attacking performance we have no chance of top 2.
for all the self congratulation we have just beaten the team 19th by 1 goal.
last game we couldn't score against the team 23rd
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now now Wolfgang, you know how you tend to over react at everything minor, lets just take a couple of deep breath and make sure we don't pizz our pants

Nuno said after the game that we should score more goals. Source wolves web site.
Can we assume that by yours and halfwits judgment that he is a pantwetter ?

Leganes in the top 5 of La Liga and only conceded 2 goals. That proves what a terrible League that is. And Hannover third in the Bundesliga and they have only conceded 1!

I think we have to conclude that every League in the world is crap and all the teams in them are crap too, so are the players, and managers, all crap

posted on 10/9/17

Cinci is quick to label any other side as "crap". Limited vocabulary in a mistaken aim to impress.

That's right dj, you are correct, Huddersfield are awesome hence the negative goal difference in the championship last season so naturally three clean sheets against far better opposition was expected

Anyone seen perton?

The goals will come, of that I'm sure. But to be honest, I don't care how we get to the Premiership. If we emulate Huddersfield, then what the feck is wrong with that.

All this bollox about not getting a striker and us dominating games yet unable to see teams off, is wet panting.

Let Nuno do his job and mould this team into a side we can be proud of. It will take time for him and the players to gel properly and to be in third place with more than 2 points a game should settle the nerves of most on here, although we we still get a few who demand more.

This isn't a sprint and I for one am very happy where we are now.

You have to congratulate wolfie who despite using so many insults on here over the years has managed to find a new one, pant wetting. Probably something that he experienced in his youth that's come back to mind I guess, or maybe Irma inspired a new bout of it for him

posted on 11/9/17

You're a fine one to make a comment about insults. I grant you the fact that you have mellowed over the last year, but you still come up with the personal insults from time to time.

Wet panting is a term used by many on here, not only me, but as usual your incessant dialogue with me continues.

Yes, we are currently experiencing very high winds with this hurricane and we will weather the storm without evacuating. It's not the first we've encountered and probably won't be the last, so you just hunker down in your residence and don't worry about this wily ol' wolf.

I reckon dj would wet his pants if faced with a hurricane.

Told tam you were taking people in Wolfie so expect a knock.

Some Wolves fan sent a twitter message to Mike Hamill asking him if he is a Wolves fan and he liked the message so evidently it proved he is one of us.
