The Mané red

One of the more obvious reds you will see.

He has no right to have his boot that high in the first place, even if he got the ball it was foul play.

But he didn't get the ball. He planted his studs into the face of the keeper with a fair bit of force. That is a red.

Well I have seen many Man Utd players get red carded for no contact for far less challenges then the Mane one. I think going by rules it is a red card.

It's a red! High boot to the head

Don't see the controversy myself. His foot has smashed into the keepers face with an awful thud 6 ft off the ground. Most red card challenges aren't on purpose so saying he was going for the ball means nothing. Reckless play.

Grey area.

You only need to know it was John Moss, all you need to know really.

I don't think he deserved a red.

I think he was entitled to go for the ball.

With his boot? No chance.

Definitely a red card

Klopp should have been sent to the stands also

Of course he's entitled to go for it but by not getting it and hitting him that hard he can have no grumbles. Red all day. It's one of them where you have to go for it but have to win it too. Had Ederson tickled Mane over it would have been a red the other way too.

Its a red for me, Mane you can see 100% did not mean to injure gk, you could see he only had eyes on the ball but it was dangerous play, prob didnt realise what was going to happen but that's the law.

Think we are fkd now, unless City get a second yellow

Could have gone either way. Completely unintentional but i dont think that comes into it.

Disappointed if it goes against you and pleased if oppo gets a red for it.

Unfortunately for us its ruined this game but i don't blame anyone its just one of those things

Not surprising there is disagreement over it as it wasn't clear cut either way.

prob see ox come on in 2nd half now, the players will be knackered covering

When GB says it's a red you know it's blatant.

Is GB's word now final?

No intention of harming could not be an excuse in this kind of situations. Plus he saw the keeper

Still think Liverpool can make it nervous for Man City if they keep it tight and get a goal back.

So he wasn't entitled to go for the ball with his foot? So instead he goes with his head, they both clash heads, that to me is worse.

Ok.

After seeing a different replay I'm changing my mind.

When I first saw it I said no way but the more I see it I think the ref was right.

Totally accidental imo but very very dangerous.

Any more than a one game ban would be unfair.
