Well it's one or the other isn't it. If Mané gets sent off, so should Zlatan. If Zlatan doesn't get sent off, neither should Mané.
------
So why weren't they then? Inconsistent. If they both should have been sent off, why weren't they? Doesn't matter who the ref was on the day, the rule still applies to both does it not. Is it favour one but not another?
Ederson will walk off with a cut and a bit of bruise on his cheekbone. Looks worse because they put the oxygen mask on and a head brace, simply because its medical procedure after any head injury that forces a player off.

I honestly don't get how the ref missed that. JustYourAverageFan you think Zlatan deserved a red card for Mings stamping on his head
This wasn't anywhere near as bad as what mings did.

Just because the keeper came away with a nasty injury, doesn't make it a red.
Like I said, high foots happen every week in the premier league and refs blow the whistle precisely because it endangers the opponent. Same with a bicycle kick near an opponent.
The issue is that they're never given a red.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mane had both feet off the ground and wasn't in control when his foot smashed into the keeper at head height.
OUT OF CONTROL=dangerous play=sending off
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Read my post again. This happens with every high foot. They don't get red cards.
Ederson will walk off with a cut and a bit of bruise on his cheekbone.

Depressed fracture of cheek and jaw.. I think you're just wumming which is in poor taste given a playerbhas been injured.
I don't think anyone has argued against the fact that refs are inconsistent and make mistakes.
You are arguing that the Mane red wasn't a red because of the inconsistency of two different human beings in two different scenario's.
There are many examples where the ref gets it wrong, but that doesn't mean a right decision in another game becomes wrong.

What's worse?
One boot to the face injures one player, a clash of heads at that speed injures both. 2 head injuries I think will always be considered worse than 1. Not that it matters because its irrelevant anyway, but of course he had to go with his boot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whats worse, a player getting studs in his face or two players making a fair attempt at a challenge?
"of course he had to go with his boot"? That is a foul, whether he wins the ball cleanly or boots the opponent in the face. Why don't you understand that?

It hasn't been confirmed as a fracture at all. They are "checking". If it was that bad he wouldn't still be at the ground would he.
The injury is irrelevant, if two midfielder jump for a 50/50 knowing they will collide in mid air, and one subsequently breaks his ankle on the landing, should the survivor be sent off?
No way, if we want to start sending players off for head high boots it needs to be all the time, every coming together no matter how minor has the chance to do injury, sometimes there are freak incidents, there was no intention to harm there, it was a 50/50 and mane can rightly feel hard done by.
The argument is the rules are wrong and the ref's in this league are inconsistent. That's the issue. That's what needs sorting out. This may well have been a red, but there have been challenges worse that haven't seen a red before as well. That's the problem.
This initially for me wasn't a red card, having looked at it again now, like a lot of people, yes, probably deserves a red card. But I don't think there is any doubt we can all agree that Jon Moss was 100% sure about that.

The intention literally does not matter. If I drive 100mph on the motorway, I do so because I want to get from a to b quicker, not because I intend to kill someone. And 99 times out of 100, no one will get killed, because I'm a pretty safe driver even at speed. And a lot of times, I won't get caught.
But that still doesn't mean it's OK. And if I got caught and punished, I wouldn't have a right to complain about it. The rules are there to prevent dangerous conduct because the consequences are potentially catastrophic, even if not all the time.
