Wouldn't really say this proves the doubters wrong as that tweet suggests. We know he has potential and is a good player overall for his age but still has a lot of developing to do to iron out the all too often poor moments he has.

Also:
David Luiz was excellent for Chelsea in the year before they left & especially the CL run in (apparently was poor for PSG) and been excellent since he has come back.
Sterling is quality and has the 2nd most goals and assists for any U23 player currently in world football (Berardi first with 57, Sterling second with 49, Draxler third with 48); considering his game isn't about goals but is actually about dribble penetration. It is clear that people let pro-Liverpool media bias affect their opinions.

Luiz was average at best or chelsea in his last year, we could not believe we'd got that money for him. He was excellent last year. but to say he was "excellent" before
As for sterling, talk about paper over the cracks. I would love to see his conversion rate. Even then look at the goals he's scored. the guy has scored 2 goals in 34 for england. His main game is getting in behind the defender so should be judged on goals and assists.
Also don't see what liverpool has to do with it, he's at man city

Whose we?
And Nick we have discussed Luiz on the Chelsea pages many times, and no one agrees with you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You talking about people agreeing...
Lots of people do anyway, we bit PSG's hand off when that offer came in.
Great in Munich though. Absolute hero.
Or do you mean you didn't think he was excellent last year? strange. he was class.

No one ever agrees with Nick tbf, footballing opinion is a well known joke on this forum.
Also not understanding what pro-Liverpool media has to do with it confirms your stupidity, hilariously.

Edin people seem to continously laugh at you though geez, on near enough every board so, stones and glass houses mate .
Where have I said he was rubbish then NPE? I said he was average at best. He was ridiculed by everyone in his first spell, probably a bit harshly, I've said he was excellent last year and your still crying.
I take it you either never went or saw our games because some games he had a nightmare in his first stint.
Stupid guys. Edin trying to bring up pro liverpool media affecting peoples views on sterling just because he left
Sad.
excellent in his last season
Best defensive record that season, admittedly he had injuries but don't let MOTD form all your opinions

So the guy from edinburgh, whose a tottenham fan, who never goes, talking to someone whose gone for 20 plus years about MOTD...really edin
He's had a mare.
Funyn thing is most people on this forum say how wasteful sterling is, how crap infront of goal and how, playign for city should be so much better.
Yet I'm the one who nobody agrees with. Go on the football live thread one day when city are playing
I'm not from Edinburgh.
Nobody is saying that Sterling isn't reaching his full potential, we are just saying that he is a good player. So stop creating straw man arguments to try and dig yourself out of another hole, or close your account which would probably be for the greater good.
"He has been a liability for PSG more than anything else. I can hardly remember four games where he was actually good. He had some shockers. He hasn't improved since leaving Chelsea. He's probably coming back a worse player than when he left."
French football journalist Julien Laurens on Luiz's time with PSG.
Also don't know why the focus on 'there's no good CBs anymore' argument refuses to acknowledge how good Juve's back three had been from Conte's time to this summer. Godin is another just as good as Vidic/Ferdinand/Terry. Constang part of one of the greatest defensive teams in modern history arguably, if brutes in low blocks if what you want from footballers.
The argument just focuses on Ramos, who is an easy target perhaps when compared with CBs of 10 years ago but still has v good qualities that makes him one of the best contemporary modern CBs out right now, in the present. Same with Boateng since he went Bayern

I'm sure a French football journalist watched him more than me and you. I'd also take PSG fans view if his time there than someone who hasn't provided any stats to back up his own claims but quick to jump on others.

So why don't we see another Campbell, Ferdinand, Thuram, Romario, Rivaldo, Henry, etc, on a regular like we used to?
In particular cbs. The level of defenders has gone downhill for one. Ffs Ramos who is a good player is probably considered the best one right now along with other decent ones. Same with strikers and players in other positions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This must be a WUM, otherwise why would Romario be included?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Clearly you're on the wum if you think Romario doesn't belong on that list.
If anything the guy was underrated.
He is basically Aguero on steroids (x2).
It isn't that he doesn't belong on this list, it is just odd that every other player you picked was PL era and then Romario...
