Russian hooligans are going to go hard at any English fans looking for a brawl.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Be good if we ended up in the same group. That would be interesting.
Imagine a group of: Russia, England, Syria, USA...
Brazil look very good as well.
Then there's Germany, Spain, Belgium & Wales...who look like a team that will push beyond themselves.
Brazil are due another World Cup success and I would put money on them if they can organise themselves effectively at the back this time around. In 2014 they had bloody Fred up front now they have a choice of Gabriel Jesus, Coutinho, Firmino and a prime Neymar who can all interchange seamlessly. In theory they should tear most teams apart.
Portugal are ridiculously average and shouldn't have been anywhere near the final of Euro 2016. Never has a team less deserving won a tournament. Dreadful.
Belgium were called "dark horses" 4 years ago and they didn't turn up and tbh looked like they had never played with each other - the biggest disappointment of WC2014. Also a team full of top level players is hardly a dark horse (stupid expression as well).
France have some great players but are prone to a gaff and the better teams should be able to overcome them. Semi finals at best for them.
Spain/Germany/Italy will always fancy their chances.

Have North Korea qualified yet?
Forgot about the Italians...they also do well.
France deserve a better manager.
Japan can win the world cup next year, they've got a great manager and team spirit

Germans. Always the Germans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont think France look as good as people think. They have the most options and the hardest squad to pick due to the amount of talent but you can only put 11 out at a time and their best 11 wouldnt look better than Germany,Spain or Brazil imo
Who actually stands out for France. Pogba is still hit and miss. They have a lot of young talent coming through for sure. Griezman is there best player.
Reckon Germany would beat them.
I agree. France are being overrated. They have a lot of promising young players. But the the thing is they are all similar players when you look at it.
France are better on paper than on the pitch.

Doesn't get much better than that, does it?
I'd have Butland in the net as well.
Unless Pickford has a blinding season. Probably still stick with Butland.

Overrated?!
--------------------------Lloris-----------------
Sidibe---------Varane------Kos-----------Mendy
-------------------Pogba-------Kante----------------------
Dembele----------Griezman----Mbappe--------Lemar
with a bench which would include the like of Rabbiot, Lacazette, Fekir, Tolisso, Umiti, etc..
Don't get me wrong, Deschamps can still feck this up but don't say the players are overrated.
England will win, best team

You can't lump Greece in with Portugal. Greece finished second in their group, drew with Spain and beat hosts Portugal and France on way to the semis, and then beat Portugal again in the final.
Portugal by comparison finished third in their group, didn't win a game in 90 mins until the semis, and only played 1 traditional big team in the final. Portugal are the worst winners in a pisss poor international tournament ever!
The thing with Portugal is that they were very solid, mentally strong and difficult to beat. What they lacked in quality, they made up for it with efficiency. It was almost the opposite of the Portuguese teams from 2000-04.
I don't see them winning the WC, but I wouldn't put it past them reaching the last 4.
The winner will most likely be Germany, France, Brazil or Spain.
Brazil are currently the most impressive team. South American qualifying usually has the greatest depth and competition and they've made it look like a pub group.
I'd put Germany and Spain as joint 2nd.
France certainly have a lot of talented players, but it always feel like they'd mess it up. They need leaders on the pitch like when they had Zidane and Viera and Thuram.
France and Belgium have the teams on paper but have they got the managers to make it click? Spain have beaten both confortably within the last year or so.
Spain, Germany and Brazil in no particular order. Argentina might well scrape qualifying and then put it all together when they get there....
