Would be harsh on him, as it often is. Only 3 points off the top having had harder fixtures than Dortmund. Just got beaten by potentially the toughest team in the CL, and yet it was only a group game and doing well in Europe tends to be his forte.

Carlo Ancelotti has left his role as coach at Bayern Munich, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC: http://es.pn/2wYBlAv
If Tuchel couldn't command the respect of some of the older Dortmund players, I doubt he'll make it at Bayern.
Pep may have 'failed' in the CL for them but he still did a very good job and any manger taking on from that treble season (or even Heynckes staying on although I thought he retired) would have struggled to replicate that form.
Carlo seems like a lovely guy but I wasn't sure he was capable of making Bayern compete at the very top in the CL however good his record in Europe. Bayern definitely seem to have regressed since he took over, but they have been dominant for so long they are probably due a dip which often happens at Bayern.
I assumed Tuchel just didn't get on with the Dortmund board, thought the players were on board with him?

When you're led by football men like Rummenigge, Hoeness and Beckenbauer rather than chuckle-head empty suits like the Arsenal board, you don't tolerate mediocrity.
=========
They should have kept Heynckes. His team were a well-oiled machine. Strong in every area of the pitch and could adapt to any kind of game as it develops. But they were determined to get the shiny, new toy in Guardiola

Care to explain exactly what you're waffling about? How exactly is that contradictory?

Well in the first post you are praising "real football men", in the second you are criticising them for getting rid of Heynckes and for going after "the shiny new toy".

No way it would be Tuchel
Would laugh if Klopp left Liverpool and went there
Suddenly his biggest fans would be like ‘he was awful at organising defences, glad he’s gone’
I read about Tuchel disagreeing with certain players (Reus for one) and that only PEA really wanted to play for him and the board eventually sacked him because he lost the dressing room.
Nothing to do with his playing style or coaching abilities...apart from player management.

Is that a strawman I see
Also that Hoff coach is right cry baby...will fit in well at Bayern.
Presumably they'll look at Simeone or Allegri?
Those two names won't leave their clubs in the middle of the season, Simeone only just extended his deal with Atletico last month too. I think Tuchel is their best option.

That I think people are decisive with a clear vision for the direction of their club doesn't mean I have to agree with all their decisions. That's a pretty moronic attempt at snark. You're free to disagree with the opinion, but as always being a tediously sardonic, cynical, irredeemable jackass is your thing.

Would David Wagner be a option ?

I rate the guy highly. And think he would be excellent at Bayern
My point was more that I reckon Liverpool fans would quickly round upon his flaws they so deny if he upped and left
Be friggin hilarious if he went to bayern
He hasn't got the bottle for it though

Ancellotti resigned already?!
WTF is going on at Bayern, am i missing something here?!
It's only been a few games into the season and Bayern are only 3 points off the top, and still have a good chance of going through in the CL group stage. I know they have high standards, but this is surely over reacting way too soon!
Feel sorry for Carlo, he's one of the few likeable managers that has been so successful over his long illustrious career and deserves to be treated better.
But it makes you wonder why he resigns/ gets sacked on what is now becoming quite frequent in his career.
Big Sam if they want a safe pair of hands, or Sir Giggsy if they go for a younger guy.
