When I actually witness Fabregas not go "Lord Lucan" in the big games I will revise my view, but until such a time he is, and will remain in my mind, a very effective and important "Flat Track Bully"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
don't think that sticks much anymore, imo anyways. Guy has had several good games against top teams
not for me Nick, hitting two worldie passes passes over 90 minutes and then watch a game pass him buy in the midfield does not merit a good performance, but his fans seem to find that it does.
I want to see him run a game agst a top team, not have a couple of classy moments and then vanish
Silva, Ericksen easily better players than Fabregas
Silva/KDB/Fernandinho>Fabakante
Spurs don't play with a midfield three, but if we did Wanbelesen>Fabakante. Do not even @ me.

hmmm I must say he's had good games against city and such, but as did Lampard, I think he has improved his defensive capabilities since he's been with us. Tracks, makes tackles and fits into the formation more than he did.

Easily? hmm. Both class but I would wager if all played 38 games then fab would have the better stats.
Atleast the quality of the PL looks on the rise.
It's hard to compare silva and kdb and the city midfield as they play completely different and are further upfield.
Plus, has KDB even won a league title in that midfield?

Disagree with regards to stats.
Fabs best season with you he scored 3 & assisted 18 while playing the whole season (21 total)
Eriksens best season he scored 8 & assisted 15 (23).
Edin....you kn ow my view on stats, especially football stats
they tell only a glimpse....qualatative analysis is more valuable

I don't disagree, but Nick said Fab would have the better stats thats all.
I think he would now in a midfield three than a 2 with matic.

In our team I would.
But still early days.
We're talking midfield trio in which chelsea has a better one than utd.
Unless pogba leads utd to a title and has an oustanding season, like fabregas has had twice, like kante has had twice.
Then there is no real conversation to have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fabregas played a bit part role in one of those titles. Pogba has lead a team to a few titles.

in my view, Fab played more of a role in us winning the title last season, than he did in 2014/2015 season.
Yes he played less but his impact was far more significant coming on with 25 mins to go

Is mhki really starting in a midfield three? jesus whats jose doing.
What about this
Kante > Pogba
Baka > Matic
Cesc > Mkhi
na tbh matic looking the dogs for you guys atm
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It should be
Matic vs Kante
Kante has been better for a while but it's looking a lot closer this season
Pogba vs Bakayoko
Pogba. Not even close. One is a key player for France the other doesn't even always make the squad.
Mkhi vs Fabregas
Fab is the better player but Mhki is probably more productive

Not disagreeing with that but he didn't lead Chelsea to the title like it was previously said.
That was an odd season for him though, was your best player the first half then literally disappeared second half.

why should it be that? Kante has been playing further forward than bakayoko and they've been changing.
Imo, fab is a lovely player to watch, to see how he operates when on form is a joy. His footballing brain is probably the most advanced in the squad. But his best years are behind him. He is too wasteful to be a shoe in in our current setup. Hollywood passes aside he needs to have a far bigger influence throughout a game against top clubs to be considered a starter. I have far more confidence in his ability to change a game from the bench than over 90 minutes.
I'm wondering where this is coming from, bar a poorish game in the week I think he's been class whenever he's played.

What we're missing in this midfield is a goalscorer. I think RLC could excel in this role in the future.
