Some of Those opposing loyalists in Glasgow today were also opposed to Rangers fans in the same place, celebrating the league win.

Just sayin

Wider, tangentially-related philosophical point:

There is a huge difference between ‘respecting the alternative views of others’ and ‘respecting people’s right to hold alternative views’.

I see people writing on here from time-to-time that we should all “try to be more respectful of others’ views” (or similar).

Nope; not for me.

Whilst I will always respect (and defend) others’ right to hold opinions and views I don’t share, I don’t and won’t commit to respecting those views, or giving them any more time or consideration that they absolutely deserve.

No idea, belief system or view deserves an absolute right to be respected.

I am accused of having no opinion or changing my mind or seeking balance or looking at what the other side does, daily.

Am practiscing hard.

I do not see the same open mindedness here.

When Dublin BB was on, you could have asked him why the irish republican movement he votes for in SF, bombed your London?

But, you prefer certain political sides over morality and integrity, and so your views are often rose tinted.

We all do it, but i at least call out, " my side" and admit to my mistakes, while trying to walk in others shoes.

Its a rare thing nowadays.😉

Do you want to borrow my trainers, once you finish with the politics books?

Kiddin pal.😂😂

Never mind the Taliban, it's not that long ago that young primary school girls in Belfast were spat on by angry full bellied men for having the audacity to attend school.

https://www.thejournal.ie/holy-cross-schoolgirl-20-years-on-5475915-Jun2021/

Same kkkultured guys bang drums today.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wasn't the reasoning "you could walk a different route to school, don't don't have to show off your nice little uniforms on good honest protestant streets" or something?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You see crouchy, you let BB away with that post, saying those in Holy Cross dispute are same guys banging drums in Glasgow today, and allowing the SF voter room to call people in Glasgow kkk today.

Some do this with Rangers fans too and hated the celebrations in George Square, where Zach was in attendance, so you see, this stereotyping of people should really be pulled up by you???

Then, you let Insert post, Judaism banned muslim parade, which again, stereotypes and twists truth, to fit agendas.Forgot to use the code term " zionism" perhaps here, but very revealing.

How do you miss or ignore so much, but pick at everything i post?

Because, you are not open minded to others and different oponions.

You need to work on that, and that was a wee lecture.

No charge, comrade.

What am i preaching, brother, if not truth and respect for others and their opinions?
Just because i do not agree with you, it does not mean i am not practicising what i preach.

I am calling out people demonizing others, the taliban and islamist extremism, hypocrisy here and narrow mindedness.

You disagree with me, but i respect that and beg to differ.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
In your opinion.

I am not here to agree with you or allow posters to demonize people, not deserving of such treatment.

You correctly called out bigots at Holy Cross from the orange side and i point out that in disputes, wars, conflicts, arguments, there are usually two sides to the argument and gray areas.

Some here paint one side bad or worser.

Google Ardoyne to see streets where prods homes were on fire, near Holy Cross, after republicans cleansed the area.

Check out where holy cross sits, in an area Ardoyne republicans wanted to expand into, so they attacked people and homes in Glenbryn.

Attacking kids was just wrong, as is attacking protestant kids there, which still happens, after all prods were removed from Ardoyne.

Context dear boy, context.

Both sides are at it, so BB and others here need to condemn both sides bigots, as i do.

Otherwise, you are playing partizan games and politics with people.

Both sides should be banned from marching. Fooking ridiculous, they only do it to antagonize the other side.

Time to move forward into the 21st century.

So I could join? Of course not.
I've not issue with your little club and the good deeds it's actual members may or may not do, but it's my opinion, that its walks attracts bigots, emboldens bigots to do bigoted things, that its antagonistic and divisive and perpetuates the blight of sectarianism in Scotland.
You can call me all the names you want tbab try abd paint me in a negative light, I got used to your rude ways a long time ago, but, again in my opinion, the orange walks are anachronistic and bring out the worst in people. Long since time they were knocked on the head.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And this

These marches can't be "peaceful" they are intended to divide and aggravate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Narrow minded view of other.

You do not like them, so ban them or stop them.

Cancel culture lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are plenty of examples of deliberate attempts to aggravate others being banned, have a fackin street party instead to celebrate your culture.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Today will be a street party in Glasgow, as it was on the 12th here 2 months ago.

You are making assumptions about people you do not like, accusing them of going out to cause aggro.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And I was talking about the Marches, which are a deliberate provocation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wrong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Marching through areas home to people you know have an issue with your "culture" (as you put it..) being as loud as possible, and attempting to rub your "Culture" in their face isn't deliberately provocative?

Fack me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So Glasgow march is going to Celtic park or into catholics areas, and not walking in the centre of town?

Most marches are in their own areas, or town and city centres, but as Glasgow is mixed, like Belfast, they will pass all faiths and none.

Where would you recommend they hold street parties?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I wonder if during the crusades people debatex the problem with globalist Catholic extremism

Or if globalist Islamic extremism existed before that.

I don't even remember it being a significant problem before we went back for round three: desert storm 2
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Islam didn't play nice prior to the crusades. Not to berate them in particular, because none of them played nice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Genuinely interested in some examples, I don't know a huge amount of history prior to the medieval times.

Think some people fought dinosaurs, or maybe on dinosaurs or something

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Historically, and even up to the Sokoto caliphate in Nigeria a century ago, the general rule after conquering countries was to give the population a choice of converting to Islam or death. However if the Islamic leader was nice, slavery or a taxation (Jizya) could be an option.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Much like the Catholics of the middle ages then, surprise surprise, humans being diiiicks to one another in the name of their god
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do wonder is man corrupted religion or religion corrupted man. 🤷‍♂️
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that was touched on earlier

Tbab believes the first, I believe the second.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it is a man made concept. Used to control and unite societies.

Is that the reason for Boko Haram, isis in north africa, Al- Shabab, AQ etc, or is there an underlying history of islamist extremism, hostility against christians, arab v African, tribe v tribe?

The French and europe are possibly better escaped goats for islamist fanatics, compared to America in Africa.
