Well now I'm confused. This conversation started as Boris failing to get a deal and now he never went to get a deal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not from me, we were told we were back of the queue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, so what is the point of this discussion of Boris not getting a deal. He was never going to get one anyway. 😂

You should try telling him that, and the deluded little Brexiteers that infest this country

It is odd that folk appear to gloat at problems involving the Uk and USA trade deal, because surely that will hurt people on both sides of the Atlantic?

Aye, but Farage.

Check put GMTV interview with M25 protest backer, Liam....before he walked off.

One highlight was when Susanna asked him if his house was insulated, and he could not confirm this, lol.

He patronised Susanna throughout, compared M25 road blockers to Churchill and failed to take responsibility for actual and potential death and injury, by supporring those walking in front of cars and lorries on a motorway.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
And an insulator couldn't get to houses to do his job as they blocked him. 🤣🤣

Turns out Obama wasn't lying about being back of the queue and Farage was lying when he said itbwould take 48 hours to do a deal with the US.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Biden can't even answer questions, how the feck can he make a deal? 😂😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
https://mobile.twitter.com/RepBrendanBoyle/status/1440527117482020869

Some seem to be confused so let me explain. About 30% of US trade is with Canada & Mexico. China accounts for another 13%. As for the UK, it is 2.5%, the same as Taiwan, Vietnam, & India. So when some are confused why a trade deal with the UK isn’t a high priority, now you know.

But but but Bwiden.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So Biden just thought he would waste his time meeting Boris?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good question....why meet over a trade deal if not genuine about seeking a deal?

I thought business went beyond petty party politics?

However, we were also told an American trade deal was bad, as we would get crap chicken and lose the NHS??

posted on 22/9/21

Is it a bad thing, for us: Yes
For them: Insignificant
For Boris: Something he can spin as a much needed win

Why is it a bad thing for us? Because we would need to trade on their regulatory terms, which would annihilate our farming sector, ruin biodiversity, end family farms, it would put up further trade barriers, if not end altogether trade with our closest neighbours.

Like corbyn and many on the left, i am eurosceptic, yes.The left used to describe brussels as a capitalist entity, that would prevent the uk having a socialist govt, for example.

I voted leave and as you know over years since accept the remain argument too.

Do you want a deal with America?

We can and do still trade with Europe.

It was meant to be about trade, not a political union.

Biden is not America.

And a trade deal is part of the mix in discussion.

A trade deal between Uk and America benefits us all.

Biden is playing down a uk trade deal, so it is being discussed....might not be as high on the present talks agenda, but one million brits work in US firms and vice versa.

Both sides benefit from trade deals, just as we do in Europe and beyond.
