Comparing the media coverage of the RM strikes today..
Sky news allowed a corporate broadcast from the CEO with absoloutley no critical questioning! Just allowing him to spout his lies.
The GB news interview with Dave Ward was really good and positive coverage of the strikes, spoke about the idea of "strike fatigue" but still lamented what's being done to the postal service.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've noticed that members of the Shadow Cabinet are now regularly appearing on GB News, I think their coverage of the Labour conference heralded a thawing in the parties view of the channel.
Unlike many of the regulars on here they seem to have accepted that being anti woke doesn't make it a right wing echo chamber.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's anti woke? Seems to me it's just a slogan for bigots to carry on being bigots.
Is anti-woke the only aim of GB News?
🤔
Is it fack
I'd like to hear Pawlie's definition of "woke".

34 years to get some form of justice for the murder of an innocent man whilst the likes of Johnny Mercer MP thinks it's a "national shame" that servicemen are held to account for actions they commit in uniform.
There is no statute of limitations for murder in civilian life yet the military think their illegal actions should be time barred.
Don't get me wrong, in this instance the murderer was only an 18 year old boy himself at the time and I have some sympathy in that he should never have been put in the position of holding a machine gun but he was an he did discharge his weapon, he has now deservedly been held to account.
The Conservative party are in the process of enacting legislation which in effect means they want to cover up these crimes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Peculiarly the Tories have united every single party here, who have in unison condemned the Troubles Legacy Bill.
Which is also believed to be unlawful. Hardly a new concept for this government..

: "In this case the baseline of trust is so low that it is difficult to see how the mechanisms in the bill will come to garner more confidence during its implementation."
Therein lies the entire problem. The legacy of the 'troubles' is fraught enough, but when the government that's bringing in this legislation is completely untrustworthy, it is impossible to conclude it is anything other than a stunt.
I've long believed that a truth and reconciliation process should have been included in the whole process, amnesty given to all that come forward and publically state their roles in those terrible years and those that don't come forward face the full might of the law.
Probably too late for such a body now.
There are lots of things that make me laugh about this thread but the pro Mick Lynch comments are brilliant.
Day after day all you read on here is what a bunch of racist t0ssers Brexit voters are and how they've ruined the country yet Lynch is forgiven because he stacks up with the government.
It's up there with Starmer levels of hypocrisy.

At the risk of sounding even more pathetic next time there's a debate on here about something that the regulars feel has been adversely effected by Brexit have a look at how leave voters are categorised.
During such debates there's no caveat that union leaders are exempt infact Eddie Denpsey has been savaged on here for his pro Brexit stance.

It's a very odd argument from Pawl, opinions on each subject stand on their own merit.
I agree with their strikes, I agree with the strikes generally, we need to break the culture in this country that's penalising workers and destroying their ability to have healthy and happy lives, doesn't mean I support idiotic Brexit views, and idiotic Brexit views don't mean i discount their part in the battle for the working class.
