Terrorist is more for a political cause, isn't it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, like the political cause of white supremacy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or trying to derail the confirmation of a guy who won the presidency. C'mon, man.

Who is the leader of that movement then?

David Duke, Tucker Carlson. Are 2 of them. At least the visible vical ones.

Cummings says once we come out of the lockdown there should be an “urgent and very, very hard look in this building [parliament] look into what went wrong in 2020”

Did he seriously say this with a straight face?

Beth Rigby @BethRigby
And on v successful vaccine prog, Cummings takes direct aim at Hancock & DoH: “It’s not coincidental the vaccine prog worked the way it did. To do that we had to take it out of DoH” Authorised directly by PM. In spring 2020, “DoH was a smoking ruin in terms of procurement & PPE”

I honestly think it’s going to have the opposite effect, constant protests!

Classic attention seeker.

There comes a time when a wum is repeated often enough people might understandably think that is what
the poster believes. I don't know if JS is racist. I do know he posts a lot of racist garbage tho.

Coronavirus cane from China, calling it Chinese is perfectly legitimate and expecting others to take responsibility for what some nutcase does is ridiculous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not putting or expecting responsibility on anyone

I'm saying that kind of language is still harmful and contributes to hate and ignorance

And as it was compared to "German car" etc it shows that the assumption connected to Chinese virus is that they made it and exported it

Came from China, probably. Made by China, unlikely
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The point you have missed is that it is just a noun descriptor.

Just as the Brazilian variant, the Kent variant, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Noun descriptor? Is that the new term for adjective?

What I’ve discovered recently is folk who have absolutely not been racially abused and don’t know the experience of racism preaching what is racist and what isn’t. And it’s coming from one end of the political spectrum.

At least he gave evidence to MPs this time. Rather than being in contempt of Parliament as he was in 2019 when he ignored a summons to attend, and answer questions relating to the unlawful coordination of the VL campaigns.

He should be in great shape to give Parliament a "very hard look" after his successful eyesight test last year.

I'll get my coat....

To jump onto the ‘Chinese virus’ debate - it is a bit more of a grey area as people have pointed out ‘Brazil variant’ and ‘Kent variant’ are also used and I don’t think there really is a difference in principle. However ‘Chinese’ is also often used to describe the whole race of East Asians which does make it more difficult. Also the ‘spanish flu’ was named as such as a tool by the US to shift blame.

The president should be using the appropriate terminology. Saying ‘Chinese virus’ is attributing blame.

At the end of the day if you want to be racist and call it the Chinese virus, go ahead, nobody is going to do anything to China, certainly not Britain, so it’s not like they give a f*ck.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps, letting the Chinese govt off the hook on covid19 is not the way forward, after Sars and bird flu emanated there.

Just sayin

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah. Just wondering what the Chinese government has to do with Koreans being murdered in USA. Not to mention all sorts if other less deadly attacks.

Blaming the US for naming it Spanish flu?

It was Spanish papers reporting the flu while neutral in WW1, so the messenger was shot, so to speak, as it did not originate in Spain.

Covid 19 did originate in Wuhan China and because Trump called it the China virus, that receives push back, imo.

This does not mean the Chinese people are to blame or should be attacked, of course.

But after Sars and bird flu, perhaps the world could ask chins to go carefully in future, especially as they are up and running again to be global super power number one.

Sorry bud, I am talking about covid 19 as third deadly global virus coming from China, not attacks on people by other people.

Two separate issues.

People who hate will find any or no reason to hate and kill.

Holding the govt of China to account for pandemics is justified and would be applied to America or Britain too if it was their country of origin.

Otherwise, Chinese govt can do what they want and pull out race card if any scrutiny is applied to them on any issue.

If a natzi attacks people that is on them.

Separate issue though, to dealing with govt of China.

Not Chinese people btw.

Or, we can turn a blind eye to what govt of China do and all other regimes, govts and dictators, in case a nutter gets triggered.

Humans suck.

Oh look

EU threaten vaccines exports to U.K. and other countries yet again as the blame game continues.

What a fwcking shower. Ban it for over 65’s; criticise and question it; threaten to ban exports; hoard supplies and then postpone the roll out programme; threaten to ban exports yet again.

Hardly surprising the EU is putting member states interests ahead of third countries.

Whilst I agree morally its contemptable, it is the shape of things to come for the UK/EU relationship. As instead of partners the UK/EU are now competitors.
