Have Rwanda already been paid their money?
Just been watching some of the Tory MPs being interviewed. Amazing how stupid so many of our politicians are.

Anyone might think there might be a leadership election in the next 12 months and the Conservatives might lurch even further right.
That means we currently need immigration. If you reduce immigration then the reducing working population has to take on more of the burden to fund them, whilst service level continue to decrease.
The UK population has increase nearly 20% in 50 years. If we need millions of overseas workers to pay for pensions, how many are we going to need in another 50 years? Who's paying for the pensions in Albina,
Romania, and all the other countries that we're creaming the working population off? We're kicking the can down the road here, we can't just keep on breeding our way out of trouble.

Look at Poland, the economic turnaround in 20 odd years, their working population did what the Italians, Irish, Germans etc did, they moved to where the work was and sent money home to boost their own countries economies.
People go where the work is, it's a fallacy to say economic migrants are coming here to live off benefits, if it was benefits they wanted they have better options than the UK.

The UK has 12.6 million people claiming state pensions. That is 18% of the current population. The working population is 28 million. So the ratio of those claiming a pension to those working is 1:2.2. That ratio is incredibly low and if you stifle growth through limiting the workforce then it becomes unsustainable.
In 50 years time there will be less of an issue as the birth rates are much lower. The age demographics of the population will be more balanced and that ratio will be much lower. That's if future generations are able to claim a state pension, given how the pension age seems to rise for younger people every few years.

Just because Europeans aren't breeding doesn't mean the rest of the world are standing still, the world population has doubled in 50 years and it may have escaped your mind, but a lot of these people who are born into poverty are willing to travel where they think the grass in greener.

OK. So you're saying we should stop immigration and stifle growth immediately because the world's population is increasing elsewhere? Any plans on how to fund everything with a decreasing working population?
