hiding a hush money payment is to someone he banged 18 years ago isn’t corruption ffs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't be ridiculous. He disguised it as legal fees and used his lawyer to pay it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn't bother Mamba there's nothing we can do for poor Oscar anymore. He's obviously too far gone. We're just going to have to let him live out his last delusional days on a nice farm somewhere run by MAGA hillbillies with shotguns.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
MAGA hillbillies on horseback with shotguns. Yeehaw!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Peks has only been there a week and he's already been fistedby a Donkey.

I mean, paying hush money is bribery paid to prevent someone from disclosing embarrassing or discreditable information. Also using the lawyer and falsifying it as legal fees is corruption.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arse you saying he corrupted Stormy Daniels?

Yes, and his lawyer too. He bribed her to stay silent. It's called private to private corruption. In any case, it is fraud and corruption is an umbrella term that includes fraud.

To be fair it is a bit harsh that Peks got banned even if he is a Russia supporting mug and someone as vile mouthed spewing constant vileness like Arab is allowed to stay

It’s not “fraud” or “bribery” or “corruption”

Trump literally paid Stormy Daniel’s $130,000 to stay quiet, it’s called a hush payment which isn’t illegal. Companies do it all the time with payments and signing NDA’s

posted on 1/6/24

Trump hiding the payment and declaring it as legal expenses is technically fraud, not bribery, not corruption

However Trump paid his lawyer, he didn’t pay Stormy himself direct

So is it really a lie that it wasn’t legal expenses given he paid a lawyer expenses? Not really, it was literally lawyer expenses

posted on 1/6/24

If Trump paid Stormy
Then on his tax or statements said it was for legal expenses
Then yes that’s fraud and corruption
But trump didn’t pay her, he paid his lawyer who paid her

So yes it’s “dirty” but technically speaking that’s what happened, he paid “legal expenses” so it’s not fraud, bribery or corruption no matter what way you want to spin it

posted on 1/6/24

Don’t really get what’s so complicated to understand about that tbh

If a company pays me £300,000 and makes me sign a NDA, and then declares on its business records it didn’t pay me but it was for something official they could get a tax write off, is that illegal? Yes, is that fraud? Yes, is that potentially corruption? Yes

If a company pays a lawyer £300,000, who then pays it to me, and the company declares it as legal costs, is that illegal? No, is that fraud? No, is that bribery and corrupt? No. Is it dirty and basically a legal loophole for fraud? Yes

If the company pays the lawyer with the intention that the lawyer will then silence some witness then it's illegal and corrupt.

Hush payments as part of a campaign is illegal. Trump also falsified documents to try to cover it up. Have you not read up on this? Your hero could go to jail and you are STILL clueless.

Greens pledge to raise an additional £50bn *per year* by:

- Equalising CGT and income tax
- Closing loopholes to ensure the wealthiest pay NI in full
- Introducing 1% tax on wealth over £10m

posted on 1/6/24

^ Full details here: https://greenparty.org.uk/assets/2024/budget-background-v3.pdf

Wealth tax would impact an estimated 22,000 UK residents (around 0.07% of income tax payers).

posted on 1/6/24

The fact that there isn’t an international accord on CGT is one of the very greatest scandals of capitalism, IMO.

If you believe that it is fair and just that people pay income tax (at all, in any form, and at any rate), then you don’t have an argument for CGT being set at a lower rate than income tax.

Robert Largan, a Tory MP with a very narrow lead last time, is campaigning using red leaflets and the phrase "Labour for Largan". He also has different versions for different parties with another called "Reform for Robert". The only mention he's a Tory is locked away deep on his website.

I don't understand how that can be allowed?

And by a jury of his peers you mean 12 people who went through a selection process in which Trumps lawyers had a day in who did or didn't sit on the benches.
