Agreed, and a very dangerous thing to allow to start becoming acceptable in society, that people can be free from answering for a crime because of their stature.

What was the crime though really? He literally said a hush payment was a legal fee. No different to what self employed people here do every day with accountants to get out of paying more tax or footballers or other rich people or private sector workers falsifying expenses

If you can get an edge everyone’s going to use it no matter what, it’s an everyday crime and weak asf

They’ve put more effort and cost into prosecuting Trump for something trivial than they do prosecuting predators, that’s where the anger from most in the states comes from

Corruption isn't a non serious crime. It's probably the worst crime there is in terms of damage to society and long term death and suffering of people and deterioration of the nation.

Like most grifter's, Trump's only angry because he got caught.

He knowingly broke the law, a law he didn't feel he should obey, now he's whinging like a beetch.

Particularly if you use corruption to become president

He's got 2 more, much serious court cases to face anyway.

It isn't corruption but is falsifying accounts, which is illegal in most Western countries.

Corruption: Dishonest or illegal behavior especially by powerful people: Inducement to wrong by improper or unlawful means (such as bribery)

I mean, paying hush money is bribery paid to prevent someone from disclosing embarrassing or discreditable information. Also using the lawyer and falsifying it as legal fees is corruption.

No bribery involved in this case.
