Why will there be more?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because the unions will expect Starmer to be more sympathetic to their demands and when they discover that things under his Labour are no better than the Tories the disappointment and anger will be heightened.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I imagine there will be more strikes.
But it's due to 14 years of economic mismanagement, 40 years of stagnant wages at the bottom, 3 years of high inflation and because employment laws and protections have been systematically undermined.
Starmer can get fecked by the way, I'm ashamed I voted for him in the leadership election (Corbyn faction should never have put RLB forward...)
He will win by virtue of timing and how shiiiit the Tories have been, he won't deserve it, he's shifted far enough to the right to ensure Tories are comfortable with him, and he will stay in power until we are ready to shift back. He's the same, it's just that the crushing oppression of the working class will happen slower under his watch, so it will feel nicer.

Ok
I think he's trying to win back the voters that Corbyn lost and most importantly not spook the Tory base to mobilise them to vote
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And he's lost the voters that Corbyn gained, membership has plummeted, he's alienated and taken away the power of the CLPs, has barred good candidates in favour of more of his blairite pals.
Why you think he won't do the same at a national level is beyond me, broken promises, reducing democracy within the party. Labour is meant to be a broad church, Corbyn never barred the right wingers, even after two attempted coups
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Corbyn deselected just like every leader has done and will do
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-45621354
How on earth would someone like Claudia Webbe ever get selected without leadership input
And membership highs under Corbyn aren't the boon you're saying it is
Let's be honest, votes are what's most important
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you read your own article?
Corbyn changed the rules so Constituency parties could reselect their MP prior to an election, nothing to do with him, everything to do with empowering the party (and hence it grew)
Starmers office is doing the exact opposite, if you don't see that's a problem then fair enough, for me its anti-democratic and duplicitous.
Just look at the three bans in the last 24 hours. It's shady as fack, remember when we were saying Boris has always been a liar and it's no surprise he was as PM? It's the same
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree it's shady and authoritarian, I'm not comfortable with it but it's not undemocratic given our FPTP system and Labour party membership fell after the start of 2018
But honestly membership numbers is a crap boast, who cares how many members you've got when it costs less than a Cornetto to join and you stay in opposition
This is how Starmer makes Labour electable I'm his eyes

what a joke of a country USA is.
convenient Biden announced this while trump was front page
US President Joe Biden has given Ukraine permission to use American-supplied weapons to strike targets in Russia, but only near the Kharkiv region, US officials say.
One told BBC News that his team had been directed to ensure Ukraine was able to use US weapons for "counter-fire purposes" to "hit back at Russian forces hitting them or preparing to hit them".
While Washington's policy of not allowing long-range strikes inside Russia has not changed, Moscow will likely view the latest measure as an escalation.
These weapons have special GPS that automatically turn them off if the weapon GPS isn’t based in Kharkiv?
No didn’t think so, $kumbag Putin potentially got his excuse now to finally use tactical nukes in Ukraine
I can't see how this wins him extra votes.Yes,it will harden his core fanbase, but its not gonna swing him anymore conspiracy theorist votes as he already has them on board.

I really do hope you've just been trolling this whole time because calling Trump a patriot is right up there with the daftest things I've seen on this site.
Ironically Biden’s biggest weakness is himself
He’s literally done nothing in 2 years to try and stop this Ukraine war or get some negotiations going. All he’s done is stay silent and fund Ukraine and constantly aggravate the situation. I agree he should fund Ukraine but they should still be trying to actually stop the war on the side but seems like he gave up over a year ago. Many Americans are now fed up of these constant billions of dollars being spent
Then Gaza, he’s literally still letting Israel essentially commit inhumane war crimes and staying silent and doing nothing to stop that either. Israel had the right to retaliate but the last months have now just become so unnecessary. Again what’s Biden doing, nothing. Basically saying to Israel do what you want
People will say what’s it got to do with America. Well a) America is generally looked at as the head of the world and people hate war and b) the constant funding they’re having to give to Ukraine is becoming ridiculous, why doesn’t Biden grow some balls go see Putin and try get something done, if it doesn’t work it doesn’t work but at least have some balls and try. Similar to he needs to go see the Israeli guy and have words
The guy is just completely weak and pathetic, even if you don’t like trump how the fack can someone really vote for this war supporting pu$$yhole

----------------------------------------------------------------------
More boils down to this
- Biden is generally less popular now than 2020
- Not going to ride the Covid vote wave which hurt trump
- Ukraine war
- Israel war
- Still got same VP who nobody really likes or who’s done anything the last 4 years
- General incumbent being less favourable / appealing
- Inflation
- Another 4 years older plus all the gaffes
So Biden is going to lose votes because of some or all of the above
So then it’s just how much of them votes Biden loses will trump get. But even generally Biden didn’t win many of the swing states by big margins so even losing 5% - 10% of his votes from 2020 in them swing states what it always comes down to could see him lose
People generally know what trumps about anyway, doubt being convicted really makes any difference. Inflation isn’t really Biden fault but most Americans concede life was better under trump so some will revert to trump
It’s why I still make trump favourite to win given all of the above
