Overall I'm not a Starmer man but he'd have to go some to be worse or even close as bad as the current incumbents? Sadly fore it got to the stage where I'm choosing the less worse candidate atm

Of those who said the 34 guilty counts had changed their view of Donald Trump, 22 percent said they now had a more favorable rating compared with 16 percent who said they viewed him more negatively.

In particular, the numbers show a four-point net positive impact among independent voters, the group that could decide who is the next president in November.

At the same time, the Trump campaign said it had enjoyed a fundraising bonanza in the hours after the verdict, bringing in $34.8 million from small dollar donors—nearly double its record daily haul.

Our poll was conducted in the hours after a jury foreman at Manhattan criminal court announced 34 guilty verdicts.

J.L. Partners used an online panel of 400 likely voters to assess the impact on the election.

for America to drag one of its 46 presidents through a criminal court over this tawdry, tacky, pathetically trivial case is so damaging to the country’s reputation.

Frankly, who cares if Trump did or didn’t have a one-night stand with a pawn star 18 years ago, and then paid her off to keep quiet about it?

There’s a sickening hypocrisy behind the Democrat campaign to beat Trump in the 2024 election by trying to incarcerate him for doing far less serious things with Stormy Daniels than their own presidents did with women.

To be fair, everyone should be scared.

Not of Trump per se, but of how he's been able to hoodwink millions of people despite having no discernible talent or ability, and no redeeming features whatsoever.

oops! One momentary lapse of reasoning puts an end to a 40 year career.

This idea that Americans should be scared because a president has been convicted of a crime he committed is utterly bizarre.

It's just openly admitting that the law shouldn't apply to certain people.

Elon Musk and Piers Morgan were both saying on Twitter that a man of Trump's stature shouldn't be taken to court over such 'trival' charges.

They could see themselves possibly being in a position similar to Trump's one day, made to answer for sheet, so what do you expect them to say? The nobility must protect the nobility.

Total opposite imo.

Agreed, and a very dangerous thing to allow to start becoming acceptable in society, that people can be free from answering for a crime because of their stature.

Difficult to see why someone who is accused of being involved in phone tapping and fabricating photos whilst editor of a newspaper would want to see people of a certain stature immune from some charges.
