These debates are a waste of time when it comes to policy. Neither will expand on anything through fear of the opposition stealing their ideas.

Thought Keir received more support through applause tonight & Rishi’s national service plan was laughed at.

Neither came out of it any better - the presenter was hopeless and the format terrible. Can you imagine the car crash the 7 leader debate will be next week

No one ever comes out of those sort of debates looking good. You're better off avoiding them like Boris did if you're ahead.

Awful debate, ITVs quick fire format made it worthless on actual policy but Starmer while lacking any sort of assertiveness clearly got applause from the audience multiple times more than Sunak who got laughed at when he mentioned national service
