Alissa’s 34-year-old brother, Ali Aliwi Alissa, told the Daily Beast the primary suspect in the Monday shooting was mentally disturbed and paranoid. In high school, Ali Aliwi told the paper, Alissa was “very anti-social” and described “being chased” as if “someone is behind him, someone is looking for him.”
“When he was having lunch with my sister in a restaurant, he said, ‘People are in the parking lot, they are looking for me.’ She went out, and there was no one. We didn’t know what was going on in his head,” Ali Aliwi told the magazine.

Devils advocate...kinda.
Folk often ask for treatment or to be sectioned and can end up killing themselves, because there are gaps in mental health care.
Watching awful scenes of tribal genocide in Africa in Tigre, and it showed how a dad chained his mentally ill adult son, because he kept bothering kids etc.
In the West, we do not do that, but often we do not treat the huge numbers of mental health sufferers.
Its a massive problem and we cannot treat or cure everyone, but family and shooter may hsve sought treatment, only to be let down.
No excuse for murder and too many guns.
