Why? Is condemnation only acceptable if it comes from the US, UK or European nations?

A quick read up abiht this guy shows he was involved in the diplomatic and political side of Hamas and had been integral during the ongoing peace talks in Qatar.

Why would Israel want to take out the guy trying to negotiate peace?

Labour + LD voters overwhelmingly support the Winter Fuel Allowance becoming means tested.

What surprised me was ~40% of Tory and Reform voters support it too.
