Israelis are the new Naziiis
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you think that’s useful rhetoric? Labelling all Israelis as Naziiis?
There have been hundreds of thousands of Israelis out on the streets, putting themselves at risk, protesting against the actions of Netanyahu’s administration.
There are huge numbers of pacifist, anti-expansionist, non-Zionist, and anti-Zionist Israelis, none of whom I would imagine would appreciate being labelled a Naziiii.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmm I didn’t say ALL Israelis did I? This was clearly a response to the video Arab shared.
With that being said, those women do represent the overwhelming majority of Israeli society. I once believed the majority of Israeli’s would be against a genocide but shockingly, this is not the case at all.

From what I’ve heard about BlueSky, it is a liberal echo chamber, basically the anti-X.
But I have found myself blocking so many more accounts on X these days, I must have like 1000 accounts blocked by now. So many retaaards just allowed to talk utter bollox. Elon Musk finally joined my block list yesterday with the Tommy Robinson stuff.

Another crazy one showing the derangement of Israeli society. Over 50% of Israelis advocating for wars with Hezbollah and Iran. Only 20% think the gang raping Israeli’s (the same ones that Israeli’s took to the streets to in defence of) should face criminal charges. Less than half think they should obey international law.

I've literally never seen butt facking rapists defended before. Nobody crosses that line. If soldiers do that then let those particular soldiers face the full consequences, surely? But that can't happen because raping prisoners is part of their policy to terrorise and intimidate prisoners and if one gets charged and jailed then the floodgates might open. They have officers who's job it is to butt fack prisoners. Facking insane.

South Africa was a pretty horrific state at the time, even attacking neighbouring countries for exiles. We took a guide to Mozambique who was a long time refugee in exile and highly sought after for years, it was kind of nuts how cantish South Africa was, I hadn't realised how brazen they were, it was mostly just a little before my time. As usual the world just pretty much ignored it.

Were sentenced to isolation
For many painful years
For many painful years
Many painful years
Of hard labor
They broke rocks
But the spirit was never broken
Never broken
Oh no, my, my black president
Hmm maa, hmm maa, hmm ma mama
Hmm maa, hmm maa, hmm ma mama
Hmm maa, hmm maa, hmm ma Madiba
Hmm maa, hmm maa, hmm ma Madiba

Let us rejoice for our president
Let us sing for our president
Let us pray for our president
Let us sing, let us dance

South Africa had a criminal president and the whole world kissed his ass.
Not comparing Mandela to Trump, but what's to stop some government from charging people they see as their enemies with crimes just to disqualify them from running for office? Pretty sure Mandela wasn't the first and Trump won't be the last.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I get your point. However, imho, the charges brought against them are wildly different.

How a convicted citizen is able to be the President of the United States continues to be ludicrous to me.

Could convicted felons vote in South Africa at the time ? (Or whatever the equivalent of Felon was there)

Im trying to find out whether Mandela was pardoned or not by De Klerk as part of his release but can’t seem to find anything conclusive either way…

https://www.inss.org.il/publication/august-2024-survey/
Another crazy one showing the derangement of Israeli society. Over 50% of Israelis advocating for wars with Hezbollah and Iran. Only 20% think the gang raping Israeli’s (the same ones that Israeli’s took to the streets to in defence of) should face criminal charges. Less than half think they should obey international law.
Wild stuff really. Their society is truly broken.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You need to re-read those results again, because you’ve misreported figures on Hezbollah, Iran and the five detainees accused of abuse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I should have said those figures were from Israeli Jews.
The poll results from Arab Israelis are far more ‘normal’

https://www.pewresearch.org/global/2024/05/30/israeli-views-of-the-israel-hamas-war/
The very first thing that came up on Google.
19% of Israeli’s think they have gone too far in Gaza.
39% say the response is about right and 34% say the response has not been strong enough.
That’s a pretty big overwhelming majority
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That doesn’t equate to an overwhelming majority of Israelis “not giving a shiiiiit” about the number of civilian deaths in Gaza, does it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
?????? 19% say they have gone too far in Gaza. What does that say about the remaining 81%? You asked for evidence, I don’t thibk you will find anything more damning than what I have linked.

Yeah, but what about the countries surrounding South Africa.

The year 1963
The people's president
Was taken away by security men
All dressed in a uniform
The brutality, brutality
Oh no, my, my black president
Him and his comrades
Were sentenced to isolation
For many painful years
For many painful years
Many painful years
Of hard labor
They broke rocks
But the spirit was never broken
Never broken
Oh no, my, my black president
Hmm maa, hmm maa, hmm ma mama
Hmm maa, hmm maa, hmm ma mama
Hmm maa, hmm maa, hmm ma Madiba
Hmm maa, hmm maa, hmm ma Madiba
Ahh uyem-yem
They broke rocks
But the spirit was never broken
Never broken
Oh my black president
Let us rejoice for our president
Let us sing for our president
Let us pray for our president
Let us sing, let us dance
For Madiba, Madiba's freedom
