I didnt find any of her claims that outlandish
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think she deliberately mislead people, her claims about being asked about the baby's race seem potentially perfectly innocent, while her claims about Archie not being offered titles as a big snub omits that the same is true for most other babies in that ranking of the royal line at that age.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really thats more on Harry who has no excuse not to know these things
Titles can be offered at discretion though
Philip was never entitled to be called a prince I believe but the Queen made a concession for it

She just wasnt particularly aware of what she was going in to
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh come on. Like she didn’t google Harry, didn’t realise she was expected to curtsy in front of the queen, like she thought they had a secret marriage when it was just a rehearsal?
She’s either one of the most stupid people on the planet, which doesn’t exactly make her accusations easier to believe. Or she is exaggerating and lying for effect.
Would have been better if she had stuck with the footballer plan.
I don’t know if Harry is pssy whipped or actually all of a sudden believes some of the stuff they’ve come out with but I’m less impressed with him tbh. Remember the hand tapping/gestures from her onto his knees? ‘No no no that’s not what I told you to say’ a very commonplace occurrence to tell off the silly husband but it certainly shows who wears the trousers.

This is of course true but obtusely fails to acknowledge that race has an impact on one's socioeconomic status and will continue to do so for some time if we keep acting like racism and inequality isn't a problem in this country
-----
In the wake of what's happened recently the UK seeks to appoint a commission to declare itself not a racist country. Some things never change.
The fact that they felt they needed to do so just says it all, and speaks louder than the report itself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thing is we're not a racist country and despite overt racism being more prevalent online now and having a PM who said that Africa needs to be recolonised and the other racial slurs he proudly put in articles... We are still a more equal place than most other nations
There does seem to be a fragility for some when race is discussed but I agree with some who say we have bigger problems
Briefing the media before the report is published so this morning's headlines are "Britain least racist" really doesn't solve anything. It's more "world leading" nonsense
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s all fair but a lot of hyperbolic nonsense doesn’t agree with you that the country isn’t racist. A lot of people make this claim which is where the fragility or defensiveness comes in. It’s childish but perhaps it’s time to fight hyperbole with hyperbole instead of being sheepish and scared of being offensive or something.
I’d happily wager that if most comments started as yours did above then it would be much better received. Sadly, a lot of weird misinformed people genuinely think that we are a racist country and some even think that we’re more racist now than we were 40-50 years ago.

It feels like a trap, by responding to her silly claims you get accused of being obsessed by her or being fixated on her. She is a millionaire victim married into a Royal family apparently, and if you suggest any counters to her claims which tarnish one of our most significant institutions you're gammon, a racist or 'part of the problem', and you should 'educate yourself'.
Same with anything - you criticise a massive imposition and the Left's response...sTOP trYing TO STaRT A CultuRe WaR!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s a tactic that I feel we’ve succumbed to unfortunately. It’s similar to the Batley / Islamophobia stuff - we’ve avoided putting forward a sensible conservative opinion on such matters that the only opposing views are the far right types.
I hope, although I doubt it, that there will be reverse in trend with this. We have to voice our opinions and not be silenced by those with opposing views and I’d like our politicians to do the same.

Mate she can’t be THAT thick. Plus some of the things she has said just don’t add up. I think she’s probably not that bright but also is clearly misleading for her own gain but also probably got given the very cold shoulder by certain parts of the RF not just because of her race but also because she’s American and an actress that has simulated s3x several times on international platforms. I have no doubts whatsoever that she didn’t like what she came into and wanted out. In typical LA actress style - went out in the way that benefitted her the most. If she genuinely felt all of this things and all of these things happened and she didn’t want to benefit - she & Harry could have stayed in Canada and enjoyed their life in privacy chopping wood and raising children.
Nah - Oprah Interview!! 😂😂
I think it’s probably so obvious that people are assuming that the obvious truth cannot be the truth because it’s so obvious.
William picked basically the perfect no drama option who looks good in all the photo ops
I remember Hitchens got some flak before he died for referring to her as a mannequin

Hahaha Hitch what a legend. He was right thoigh, a perfect choice but a little bit more modern.
I’m sure there was some naivety on Meghan’s behalf. If I were her, I would have gone into expecting some pretty cold treatment.
She’s bs’ing a fair bit though that much is clear.

I prefer his Diana joke when he compared her to a landmine, very easy to lay, hard to get rid of.

Hahahaha didn’t hear that. I liked Diana and he and I differ there but that’s a good bloody joke I have to say.

Racism is a bigger problem now than it was 10 years ago without doubt in my mind
The fact that some labour supporters still think Corbyn was stitched up over anti-Semitism is shameful
And somehow Boris gets elected despite the abhorrent comments he made shows that enough of the nation either don't think that kind of language is unacceptable or just don't care
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think it is personally. I think Brexit & Iraq/Afghan war will have increased the number of people saying or acting in a racist manner but in that same time period a lot of people will have reduced in terms of racism.
If we look at the numbers from things being reported there’s a problem with that because far fewer people were willing to report things previously.
I think we’re still following the general trend of becoming less and less racist as we are with sexism.
I think social media is a big old mess which distorts reality a lot. If I were take this thread and apply it to the entire country for example then Labour would be in, UBI would be in and conservative opinions would be the minority. Luckily for me, this isn’t the case in the real world.
