----------------------------------------------------------------------
Second best throughout the whole game, hmmm..
City had 9 shots, we had 6
City had 5 shots on target we had 3
City had 58% possession
When United beat spurs last week they had almost identical stats to us. Same as united vs Liverpool at anfield when they got the draw. Sams as spurs against Madrid at bernebau and against dortmund. Watford against us. No one said these teams didn't deserve to win despite having far less shots and possession.
In fact, when any big game where a strong team is at home, if they lose or draw against their away opponent you can guarantee the strong home team will have had more shots and possession. There is no such thing as "you have to dominate a strong team when you play them away from home" it is something that has been created just for arsenal once again. Just like the years without a trophy media hype.
Once again our foolish fans buy into it because of an anti wenger agenda.

Pen wasnt 50/50. You are saying that because against your team
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Penalty was100% and the push on Sterling which amazingly no Arsenal fans have seen (Wenger's disease is a highly infectious eye disease) was also a penalty all day long, The offside goal counteracts that I agree.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So the ref should give City pens every time Sterling hits the deck in the box then, that's what you're saying. I can see why as you'd get 5 pens in most games. The "push" that wasn't given would've been an even soften pen, give me a fecking break.
The fact of the matter is, no team will dominate city home or away this season however they will drop points. Whenever their opponent takes points from them, let's see if you facking idiots pipe up saying city deserved to win because they had more chances
Godfather thinks we played well then, ignore the woeful defending and the multiple nearly moments they had, especially 1st half. We had a 5 minute spell 1st half and a 15 minute one in the 2nd, that's it. That's not good.

IMO we definitely seem to be getting the short end of the stick regarding poor decisions against us this season –
Games we got lucky –
WBA (Clear foul by Mustafi should have been a WBA pen)
Games where we have been shafted by the refs –
Leicester Game (Clear Handball by the Leicester player first half)
Stoke – Clear Pen denied on Bellerin + Poor offside decision against Lacazette
WBA – 2 Clear Pens denied but all people talk about is the one the WBA should have got.
Watford – Clear dive by the Watford player to get the pen and then a offside goal given against us.
Man City – Clear Offside goal given against us plus pen was 50/50
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And this is only counting the easily obvious game changing decisions. There will be twice as many little decisions that led indirectly to goals. E.g just before the pen decision there was a decision against arsenal in the middle of the park that was stonewall a foul to us. The camera even showed wenger going crazy on the touch line
This list is truly outrageous and actually I'm furious with wenger for not making more of this. Imagine if it was mourinho? It would be headline news due to his reaction Wenger needs to be making it front page news, we always have it quite bad but this season is beyond words.
Literally speaking if those decisions were all given our way we would be above United and spurs. Even if only 50% were given our way we would be level with united and spurs. All of those have been given against us and we are 4 points behind spurs and united. Any idiots who can't see how much these decisions are killing us need to open their eyes. There is an agenda against us and the media reaction (excusing every one of the above list and saying we deserve to lose) proves the agenda

Watford did the same against us. In fact most games we lose will be due to the other team having small dominate spells like this. Football is all about momentum and it's no coincidence we had it after our goal and lost it after their offside goal.
Why did you continue to cover your eyes and ears and reject the truth?
Monreal and sterling was shoulder to shoulder. Extremely soft pen that most of the time is not given. Yet against arsenal 90% time that will be given
If you find yourself blaming refereeing decisions frequently then I'd suggest it's almost certainly your team that is the problem.
It's the age old thing of a team who dominates territoriality and in possession will receive more fortune in regards to decisions, because it's simply the law of averages.
The idea that referees are out to favour any team playing Arsenal is laughable.

Just to put things in perspective we have already 14 pens against us for this and the previous season. More than any other team in the league. Only this season 2 of our 3 pens are dubious to say at least. This costs us points. You can control the players but not the refs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah you might find the 14 pens against are more to do with scrambling, one man light defences, than they are dodgy reffing. The Watford game is a classic example. Fans blame the ref for awarding it or Bellerin for giving it away. Apparently I am the only one who blames the incident on Ozil literally stepping out of the way of a Watford attacker and allowing him to Waltz past, completely exposing that corner in the first place.
If your defenders are constantly having to back track, last ditch tackle due to being totally exposed by the so called super star ahead of them. Then of course you will concede alot of penalties. Out of curiousity, how many of those 14 penalties were awarded when Ozil was not in the side?

That says more about how weak we are. Considering we're meant to be a top team we should be able to cope with short dominant periods from the likes of Watford, dodgy pen or not there's no way we should've gone on to lose that game. The offside goal killed our momentum yesterday but I still felt they were just as likely to score as we were before that, they were cutting us open at will.

You suggest that penalties have something to do with our defensive style. I see. That's not backed by numbers tough. We're not anywhere near the bottom in the goals scored against, expected goals goals conceded or even chances created against stats for the same time. We're up with the top teams. These are facts. Maybe penalties are just extremely bad luck maybe something else. They are not because of bad defensive play tough. Otherwise teams with double or even triple worse defensive stats would concede a lot more and that's not the case.

Also, yes Silva was just offside. Doesn't excuse the pathetic response of Xhaka and Kos, just stood still arms raised!! Play to the whistle you schoolboy cuuuuntttts.

Do you really think the ref would have given us a pen on a similar occasion?
I don't understand fans that say we would've lost anyway because we played worse. They usually forget all the cases when we played a lot better but still lost. That lack of simple objectivity is astonishing. Football is about goals and not who played better. Saying that wrongfully awarding one or even two goals to one of the sides doesn't matter is beyond stupid.

I have no problem with City have won the game. They were the better team with the better chances. not my point at all.
I dont want to find an excuse for our failings but fact is the wrong decision changed the tune of the game. Simple as that.
Was the assistant was the problem. In the first half the same lino played Sanchez on when I was pretty sure he was well off. Must have left his specs in the dressing room.

It was a pen too.

Obviously my comment wasn't directed at you.

The irony in that post. Even if you took out a couple of poor decisions, e.g. Stoke away, Watford away we'd still be in 5th spot and 10 points off the top. Is that good enough for you?

Maths not your strong point then?

Hmm, lost 1-0 to Stoke, 1 goal chalked off wrongly for offside so 1 point we should have, lost 2-1 to Watford, 1 dodgy pen so 1 point again. Or is this not enough to suit your agenda that the refs have cost us every point we've dropped?

Second Watford goal was also offside.

Deeney was offside for their second. Or did you not read that from Bo$$ post? Besides the momentum from watford to even create their second goal came from the dive.
