Bring back Moyes after he's relegated the Hammers. Failing that, give it to Giggsy for the season, with Phil Neville as his assistant.

No chance Jose will be sacked if you finish second to this City side.

They have spent considerably more and had a better team to begin with.

I think we can easily finish 2nd. We've already played two of the pretenders (Liverpool and Spurs) and nothing worried me there. Chelsea away has always been tough for us even with Fergie. And it 1-0 not 4-0 this time.

Once we have Pogba and Zlatan to add in to the mix we will sweep enough teams away to stay in the race for 2nd I'd say.

I think United will be second this season.

I wasn't aware of this PSG speculation with my original comment. Would be bizarre to step down to PSG and humiliating for him accepting he's second best to Pep especially in the Prem.

I would have thought he would have been plotting how to take United to the next level were they can compete with City over the rest of this season and next.

Very poor from him if he walks away before the objectives have been achieved (don't think he's ever done that before)

Hardly a step down to the beat team in France and one of the favourites for CL over the sixth best team in England.

Short term fix would be Ancelotti.

We need a long term fix and approach though. Team needs 3 - 4 players to be honest.

A wide player, a couple of midfielders and a LB

Currently (as in at this point in time) we are not sixth in the table, so not the sixth best team in England as it stands. However if you would have said "last season" in your original comment, that would have been accurate. Glad I could help.

We're still 2nd you know and your manager looks just as likely to crack as ours does.

Couldn't care less where you finished.

Are you saying PSG are a bigger club than United?

Because clearly they are not, currently better yes but still a huge step down in stature.

Settle down turncoat.

After spending the best part of a quarter of a billion in the last 2 years, you were bound to beat a few teams destined for relegation. We all saw your true level on Sunday.

Utd are a much bigger club, with a much bigger fan base, far more history and far greater global reach,

but

PSG are the current bling-bling team, have not broken but shattered the previous world transfer record (350M squid on JUST 2 PLAYERS!), and if they truly wanted him would probably be prepared to offer -if they haven't already- two or three times Mourinho's United wages plus an island or two in the Persian Gulf, a fleet of jet planes and 72 virgins without the inconvenience of having to die first.

You could see why Mourinho might be prepared to take this particular step down. With a little bit of downtalking United on the way out, it could always be dressed up, at worse, as a step sideways.
