If Jose were to leave in January,or likely at the end of this current campaign, has he left a better squad than the one he took over ?

posted on 7/11/17

Yeah definitely a better squad than the one he took over.

Yes, he has signed Pogba, Lukaku, Mkhi and Bailly. Ibra too if he still has legs.

Saying that, LVG brought a shed loads of player for mostly average prices. Jose has brought in first teams options.

Struggling to think of better options for us right now tbh.

Tbf, Jose bought a lot of carthorses. The new manager may have different ideas, so could start rebuilding again.

Jeez, what a petulant little child.

Maureen has bought the 2 most expensive players in PL history and now says he wants more backing in the transfer market. (http://bit.ly/2hamWf3)

How much more backing does he want having already spent €350m since May 2016? (http://bit.ly/2hbi8Wy)

Couldn't care less where you finished.

Are you saying PSG are a bigger club than United?

Because clearly they are not, currently better yes but still a huge step down in stature.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Utd are a much bigger club, with a much bigger fan base, far more history and far greater global reach,

but

PSG are the current bling-bling team, have not broken but shattered the previous world transfer record (350M squid on JUST 2 PLAYERS!), and if they truly wanted him would probably be prepared to offer -if they haven't already- two or three times Mourinho's United wages plus an island or two in the Persian Gulf, a fleet of jet planes and 72 virgins without the inconvenience of having to die first.

You could see why Mourinho might be prepared to take this particular step down. With a little bit of downtalking United on the way out, it could always be dressed up, at worse, as a step sideways.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never understood the whole 72 virgins thing. I align more with the Connolly school of thought. A couple of fire-breathing wh0res any day!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty sure they could arrange a couple of those each day too...

I think we can easily finish 2nd. We've already played two of the pretenders (Liverpool and Spurs) and nothing worried me there. Chelsea away has always been tough for us even with Fergie. And it 1-0 not 4-0 this time.

Once we have Pogba and Zlatan to add in to the mix we will sweep enough teams away to stay in the race for 2nd I'd say.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't tell if you're being serious or not.

Surely you believe that United can still win the title?

It's November, not 6 games to go.

posted on 7/11/17

You only have to have seen both teams play to see United can't win the title.

So which one is it belłend? Easily finishing 2nd or definitely being the race for 2nd?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Rentboys are giddy.

We're still 2nd you know and your manager looks just as likely to crack as ours does.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Settle down turncoat.

After spending the best part of a quarter of a billion in the last 2 years, you were bound to beat a few teams destined for relegation. We all saw your true level on Sunday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Burnley and Palace showed us your club's mentality after winning a title. Your players think they are untouchable and get managers the sack.

Sideshow Bob now in exile. Sporting director walks out. Rumours of Conte being ready to go.

Chelsea are a joke club which stems from the Russian gangster. They always sack successful coaches the following year.

Well we would be top without Sheikh Mansour existing to be fair. However I can't see past City this year so no I don't think we can or anyone will finish above you lot.

Losing Pogba for 2 months really ruined our early momentum. He was playing really well and so was the team.

Best team won. Said it straight after the game you moron. We do that on our board. We can admit when we're well beaten.

Doesn't mean we can't finish 2nd because we lost 1 nil at Chelsea does it?

Can't you read?

Settle down Eric you nonce

The big question is, who do you want to replace José with after you've hounded him out of your club.

He's already getting fed up with the likes of you moaning about his swashbuckling football. Not long to go till you need to spend another half a billion to end up nowhere the league title haha.

I think United will be second this season.

I wasn't aware of this PSG speculation with my original comment. Would be bizarre to step down to PSG and humiliating for him accepting he's second best to Pep especially in the Prem.

I would have thought he would have been plotting how to take United to the next level were they can compete with City over the rest of this season and next.

Very poor from him if he walks away before the objectives have been achieved (don't think he's ever done that before)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hardly a step down to the beat team in France and one of the favourites for CL over the sixth best team in England.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are we currently the sixth best team in England then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes. That's what I said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So we sit sixth in the table?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No. Where did I say that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently (as in at this point in time) we are not sixth in the table, so not the sixth best team in England as it stands. However if you would have said "last season" in your original comment, that would have been accurate. Glad I could help.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has everybody played the same fixtures as you? I think not. If everybody had then you could judge this point in time whether you're better. You're the sixth best team with the easiest fixtures so far and therefore you're second. I think you'll find yourselves in sixth when everybody has played the same fixtures.

Glad I could help.

No you wouldn't, you'd be second as we wouldn't have beaten Chelsea.

You wouldn't even still exist as a club without City though, so it depends how far you go back with that particular point.

The vast majority of people on here were wanting a title challenge from Jose.

If you take into account the 23 points from 11 games, we are projected to get towards the 80 point mark season.

To want Jose out is ridiculous.
