should i trust these sites to not get taken down, is it worth storing offline?

You should probably get yourself a hardware wallet so you have full control. Trezor/Bitbox/Ledger are all options (though the nano has had a recent security breach).

I can't see it that low maybe to 22 000.
In the short term for the rest ofvyhis week it looks like it will try and get above 40,000 again and test Friday's high

I’m in for long term so want it to drop badly! Hopefully can get down to 15k or so at some point

If you are in for the long position, I assume you expect btc to hit quite a large figure at some point.
If that's the case, trying to time the market is crazy.
And if it hits 15k, then we are probably firmly in a bear market that could take another 3 years to get over.
As they say, time in the market is better than timing the market.
You can also think about what is know as dollar cost averaging. Where, if you want to invest, say $5k... You would buy in $500 a week over 10 weeks... This will be a more balanced way of buying in that takes into account the crazy fluctuations
To continue that... To get to $15k we will have likely been seeing red for weeks... You will then either be scared off or will be thinking, "hmm, maybe it'll go to $5k".
If you want in, just get in, imho.
‘Don’t wait for Bitcoin and buy. Buy Bitcoin and wait’
Guess work from me (but based on previous bull runs i've been in).
We will only see corrections up to about 40% until we finally hit the final ATH of the run and will see a 60-80% drop.
Working out which is the final ATH is the tricky bit!

Yeah but it's still money I could have had back in my account to re-invest in the drop.
It's my own fault for ignoring previous experience and hanging on Friday afternoon, when all my instincts told me to cash in on the profits!
I guess that's why Elon Musk is a multi billionaire and I'm just a Field Service Engineer!
If it retests the 31,000 level today and holds around there I think it is a good buy for one final leg higher before a more significant correction takes place
I mean 30,000level. That looks like a key support level on a closing basis.

Appreciate the reply. After BTC and ETH, ADA is my other long term hold. It’s reassuring to hear your views on it. So why hasn’t it been listed on Coinbase yet? Is this a decision from Cardano or Coinbase?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry for the delay.
So, it's a little unclear as to the exact reasons why ADA is not currently exchangeable on Coinbase.
There have been some rumours floating around in the past that Coinbase won't list it until it meets certain metrics/thresholds with regards to things like decentralisation. One of these is Cardano's 'D Parameter' - when D=0 for Cardano then 100% of the blocks are being produced by Community Nodes and it's growing closer to that everyday.
However, I'm pretty sure that in reality it's already far more decentralised than some other coins they have listed and has been for a while so I tend to believe that the hold-up is a non-disclosure agreement between Cardano & Coinbase. If you consider the scientific/peer review approach and rigorous testing Cardano have done at every stage of their development and the fact that they have agreements in place for cold-staking of ADA on Coinbase: https://www.coindesk.com/coinbase-custody-to-allow-secure-cardano-staking-later-this-year my suspicion is that Cardano want to make sure they are truly ready to launch this to a global market without any hiccups and they have been doing industrial-scale testing to iron out any issues.
The other consideration to make is that they may want to onboard some large business/LEDCs into the ecosystem before the price surges after listing on Coinbase.
Considering the staking agreements in place with Coinbase already, it's surely just a matter of months (or at worst late 2021) before trading ADA on Coinbase commences.
