Again, heard it a million times.
These financial guys are scared stiff of a truly decentralised currency.
Why aren't they shorting it like crazy on the futures market?
If you want to discuss bubbles, lets look at the western capitalism system.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are many reasons why..
Firstly, it is is only very recently that it has been possible to short these instruments.
But more importantly the instruments do not provide the necessary liquidity to allow financial institutions to get involved seriously.
most hedge funds and CTA;s terms of agreement will prevent them from investing client's monet into these markets until they become better regulated and until the liquidity is in the market.
I just hope bitcoin can retest those highs again because if it does it is a fantastic opportunity to sell it

Perfect time of year to get that. Well done
Ripple's flying, nearly doubled in the last 3 weeks.
Ripple has fundamental flaws though
I bought at 47p, it's now £1.
If it reaches £2 I'll sell half my stash and reinvest it in something else.
Welcome to bloodbath part II
Looks like people switching out of Bitcoin into other cryptos..............makes sense tbh

I definitely see the big crash splitting between people cashing out to fiat and criminals/launderers cashing out to something like moreno.
I've taken advantage this morning and put more into Ethereum and LTC while it's this low!

The top 10 are all crashing, bar ripple. Most people are selling back to fiat.
the cheap coins will have wild swings, regardless of btc price.
btw - this fresh bloodbath is down to FUD, nothing more. Korea decided that exchanges require ID now (you know, like every other facking exchange)... yet the media reported that they were shutting down exchanges.
It'll quickly rise.
Fear, uncertainty and doubt (often shortened to FUD)

A bit like BREXIT then!
just like it
It was funny seeing the Daily Mail and Co circle jerking about the stock exchange rising to record highs... then experts pointing out that it is happening because the £ crashed so far after the vote.
It actually makes me laugh, all the doom, gloom and despondency over BREXIT, when no one has any idea how it will pan out until a few years after it happens!
hmmmm.... I think alot of very clever people know exactly how it will pan out.

but that is the issue Brummie, nobody knows, therefore there is uncertainty and when companies are uncertain they cut back on investment for growth.................hence the problem
crypto is informed gambling and a few good tech teams... that's why a few players or a few well placed media articles can raise or crash the whole thing.
brexit is based on realities and well tried business and financial systems. It is much easier to predict.

People can only predict Brexit when they know what type of Brexit it is in terms of trade with the EU .
They also need to know what trade agreements the UK are likely to agree outside the EU.
Nobody knows the answer to these two points yet, people can make risk adjusted predictions as to the outcome of the talks and the clever ones will probably get it right. but that will be the hedge funds, not the corporate world who will need to sit on the fence until it becomes clearer

Nobody knows the answer to these two points yet

But you can make predictions for both scenarios (with various other variables too). That's far easier than trying to predict something like how Korea demanding IDs for a crypto exchange should affect the price of various cryptos.
Anyway, maybe let's keep this just about crypto? Is a nice, fun article... Poltics just muddies the waters
