If the truth were known, I'll bet it was Morgan who had no faith in MM and that's why he was given a limited amount of money to bring in players and preferred to start rebuilding the stadium instead. Probably why he's not been given much money at Ipswich either.

Can I just say that when I started supporting Wolves their manager was Stan Cullis who in the 11 years that he was in charge of Wolves achieved far more than feckin' Mick McCarthy or any of the 23 managers since could even dream of. Excuse me if I don't drool at the mention of Merlin the Magician's name.
It's early days yet but Nuno may just be the man to equal or even surpass Stan Cullis's achievements. I wait with baited breath but for feck's sake shut the feck up about Mick McCarthy who in the grand scale of things was and still is a very average manager.

This is what has always driven me nuts, the way some have tried to turn Mick into some kind of deity for 'achieving' what 35 other clubs have bettered since 2000 and something like 50 odd managers have bettered in that time, many of which were on similar budgets to ours.
And by the way I made a mistake. I have just checked and found that Stan Cullis was manager at Wolves for 16 years, not 11. Apart from Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger there are not many modern day Managers can match that.

I find it difficult to keep pace with all your name changes 'Hoskins'. However, I do notice you have nothing to say to our Gem when he calls Foley one of MM's "love children". Oh wait a minute..
By the way, I don't have a red neck as my hair covers the back of it.The term non educated folk is a polite way of my description of those who put this clown in office. He lost the popular vote by 3 million or so.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have disagreed with GeminMallorca on numerous occasions about many things to do with Wolves, however, I find that as a rule he argues his point reasonably, isn't arrogant, doesn't resort to name-calling and doesn't seem to have an agenda.
Many posters on here have conflicting views and I appreciate that. Unfortunately there are one or two that forever resort to type and seem to take great delight in baiting other posters be that about McCarthy, Edwards, Sako, or a multitude of other "anti-Wolves" agendas. Foley is just the latest example of undermining McCarthy and his promotion winning side.
Those same "one or two posters" (let's call it three to be on the safe side) profess to support Wolves but seem incapable of taking a balanced view about the club. They laud anything and everything that isn't "McCarthy" whilst arguing that total failures like Solbakken, Siggy and the like were misunderstood and should have been given more time.
I apologise if my views offend the genuine fans on this site, but when I see hypocrisy I call it out.
Oh, and by the way, I know what a redneck is.

No one on this site or Molineux Mix has tried to "turn Mick into some sort of deity". What a ludicrous statement.
The majority of right-minded Wolves' fans recognise Mick for what he was; an obstinate Yorkshireman who over-achieved for many seasons with workmanlike players. He worked with a small budget (in general) and unearthed some good players but also signed some rubbish.
He should not be mentioned in the same breath as Cullis who took Wolves to the very top of European (if not world) football, however he should also not be compared to the other Wolves managers who achieved nothing during the past 35 or so years.
As for Nuno; he has achieved nothing yet. He has received riches that other managers can only dream of and has made a good start to his Wolves' career.
As a Wolves' fan without an agenda, I would love it if Nuno emulated Mick's achievements first and foremost and be over the moon if he got anywhere near Cullis's. But any achievements, be that Mick, Stan or Nuno needs to be put into perspective. Nuno has spent £50m to £70m with probably more to spend in January. He should do well (and he is), but a sense of perspective should be kept.

Absolute rubbish, the biggest agenda on this forum is the one where not one of you will give an inch when it comes to Mick's many many failings in the premier league but yet in your eyes the agenda lay with those that have absolutely no problem at all acknowledging the excellent job he initially did with wolves whilst recognizing those failures.
As for what has been spent, you still have to get the job done and it isn't lost on me that the more money Mick had the worse the job he did.
Ok its been mentioned quite a lot on here and you Hoskins probably the most. Explain a Wolves agenda.
That's just it cinci. WE ALL gave him credit for getting us promoted, but his lack of understanding what is needed in the top flight is something many on here cannot comprehend.
He is and always will be, an average football manager and I can only echo what Gem is saying...for feck's sake can we please shut the feck up about him and move on.
Usual suspects talking about Mick again, then complaining that it’s a topic.
Have no problem talking about Mick, just does my nut in that his achievements are over exaggerated for some bizarre reason.

It's been a tough year for Bute, Ipswich in collapse mode again, Edwards moving on to another lower half champo team and worst of all Wolves looking better than they have for 35 plus years.

Nothing technical about it. It’s the easiest WUM around.
Gets Cinci, Wolfie and Perton foaming at the mouth every time. You just need to add someone with a slightly different opinion to them into the mix and you’re off.
Shame really though that a supposed fan spends that long trying to ruin the image of one of our managers, someone posted the other week that Bute had tarnished Mick's image by going on and on about him, I forget who but maybe it was Vinnie, but the view was spot on, Bute has wrecked my memories of Mick 100%.
It’s sad that you allow him to have that much influence. He’s easily ignored.
The main problem cinci, is that whenever his name is mentioned, it's usually a wind up or matters comparing him to our current plight.
Gem nailed it earlier when he mentioned Stan Cullis. He was the manager when I first started following Wolves and he achieved far more than what the double M did with us.
Unfortunately, there are some on here that are too young to remember those days and his achievements will be overlooked.
Numerous posters on here have asked that Bute and others refrain from bringing his name up, but it'll never happen.
The best thing to do is to use the delete button whenever his name crops up again, because the same old issues will rear their ugly heads.
Tried ignoring him by blocking him tam but then others just replied so you can't avoid it, I guess at the end of the day some folks really are just sad individuals who have to try and get under the skin of others to make themselves feel better.
