Do we need 6 pts this week realistically?

We have to beat Watford but under Silva they look really good.

Interestingly we have more pts now than at same stage of season in 98/99 and 2007/08 which are two of our greatest ever seasons.

That just shows how awesome City have been to be 8 pts ahead. The barstewards.

True, but we started relatively slowly in those two seasons. The second in particular, I think. Just two points from the first three games.

City have just won 11 games in a row so have to give them credit for that. Chelsea won 13 in a row last season which was the backbone of their title win. With someone on that run on form it's always going to be difficult.

However, there's no reason why we can't win our two games this week. Watford and Arsenal will both give it a go so hopefully that will give us a bit more space to operate in.

Realistically we're playing for second at the moment though but we do need to keep going just in case there's any City slip up.

With the way we have been playing since that awful Liverpool match I wouldn’t be surprised if we get punished soon.

Title's City - We just now need to ensure we're at least challengers.

Just hope we have a proper go at Arsenal... Another park the bus effort away to a rival is pointless when we need to make up points

Watford is tough tho, we've struggled there and they're going well... Richarlison looks a real prospect

I can see United getting overwhelmed by City, you may get a point because Jose never loses at home but it will be smash and grab.

Looks like Lukaku will be getting a 3 game ban so will miss Watford Arsenal & City games

Why is he getting banned

Hope it’s not true. Would much rather face Lukaku than Zlatan

The Prem as a brand cannot have a one team title race, with it being over in December. Hopefully we get the assistance we deserve from the Prem to beat Watford and Arsenal. The rest of the league will be willing us on.

As Utd are universally and quite rightly loathed I don’t think there will be too many willing them on

Whether we have a shot at the title or not is more about how City fare the next six months than we do.

A seven point gap is nothing; these kind of deficits can and have been very commonly made up in title races. But it depends on the leaders dropping points.

If City keep on churning out results as they are, they'll win the title and it'll be out of everyone else's hands.

How does that work? Doesnt sound like a challenge, if the title is City's after 13 matches.

Paul

You are indeed correct. Not many neutrals will be wanting us to win it.

But when you think about it we're the club with tradition, who actually bloods it's youth and isnt owned by a sugar daddy investor which goes to show how jealous fans are of us.

It's all academic anyway as this Utd team won't win it.

All night. Give me something that can’t be aimed at other clubs.

In reality people should hate a club who are on top through nothing other than getting lucky that some billionaire took them on but they seem to be everyone’s 2nd team

Theres only one real reason and that's because we are the record winners and have dominated for so long. We weren't universally hated before Fergie.

You didn't go around singing about doing what you want before Ferguson. Kind of piessed a lot of people off. Also all those years of economic dominance before the Russian arrived and upset the apple cart.

That was a sarcastic chant aimed at those that had this stupid illusion that refs and the FA favoured us.

For what it's worth you boys have been pretty good thas far...... HOWEVER I truly believe that we are seeing a TEAM in football that are RAISING the BAR in City under Pep.
They look so in control and all are willing to play for each other.

Maybe we are seeing the nest team in PREMIER LEAGUE folk lore that will #RAISETHEBAR.

Very much in the same echelons as very GREAT Premier league teams of old. The old Ferguson teams of United of old and the Arsenal invincible's and Jose Mourinho's ORIGINAL MK1 Chelsea team of the mid 00's, a truly winning machine.

City look capable of raising the standard in Premier league history. Fantastic football and the manner they play is all for each other.
