Looks like I'm the only one still here...
Never quite got back in to the groove did we after an excellent start to the game. Blues offered very little, in getting amongst our midfield it blunted any attacking threat they might have had.
Really struggled to control the game second half until the sending off, proof of Neves value you the team.
I hope Blunderland will come and try and take us on on Saturday, if they do we'll take then apart.

Be careful, he'll have you under MH spell
Seems more obvious than ever that Saiss and Neves are key to our success, when either one has been missing we have struggled more.
Fantastic points haul to this point though and you will get games like this, Sheffield Utd had one Saturday, difference being we still won ours and they got gubbed 3-0.

Can't wait for Saturday and the next wonderful match thread
The points keep coming, we're level with Micks class of 09 so I'm told
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Game 20 was where we started our slump in 08-09, ironically that game was Birmingham as well.
4-6-6 in those games from game 20 to game 35
Not sure why some are still talking about Mick when we're at a stage where we've managed to equal, and maybe surpass, his achievements. It's unnecessary now.
You are right, it is going to be a little silly a few weeks from now, no comparison
Missed the match, know the score how was the performance, good start, tailed off?
Now on target for 108 points, that'll do me
Still have go take it one game at a time. So far, so good.
it was all a bit disjointed for most of the game. We defended very well with Boly outstanding and even when Birmingham were having the lions share of the game we still looked more likely to score and Costa and Jota missed the best chances of the half.
But without Neves we were second best in midfield. Saiss and N’Diaye can cover each other but neither can bring what Neves does to the team. We missed his ability to get the wing backs into the game and our best moves of the second half came when we missed the midfield out and knocked it long to Jota and Costa. But if Birmingham hadn’t had so little to offer up front they could have got a draw at least and Kieftenbeld and Gleeson dominated the midfield after the break. It’s going to be a long season for Blues unless they can find a forward or two in Jan. While Wolves keep winning and although the quality was lacking in midfield today, the quality in attack and defence was more than good enough
Neves is certainly the one that opens up the pitch and makes us more expansive.
Wouldn't read too much into one game though as we have seen Neves struggle in games before as well.
Just seen some poor vid quality highlights......
I assume Bonatini's shot was clearly in then?
Cavaleiro has an exocet of a boot on him
N'Diaye should have seen red
Surprised Price didn't get the nod ahead of N'Diaye actually and think he would have been a better fit alongside Saiss.
Where's the Sunderland match build-up as this one is certainly one to forget?
We're making a habit of picking up the points when playing poorly. At some stage we will pick up the points while playing well. Hope that is on SAaturday.
He's gone for five days. Yes, five.
Don't know where this 'playiong poorly' idea comes from? We have very rarely played poorly and have been the better side in about 16-17 of the 20 games thus far

Sorry old chap, had to go get some beauty sleep.
If Costa doesn't start to play like we know he can, then we should offload in Jan. Frustrating as feck to watch at the minute

To be fair, he is only getting 30 minute cameos at the moment. We have seen him at his best in flashes but he needs a few starts before you can make that kind of judgment.
we were never going to get the 5-0 victory some wolves fans were expecting, blues have an excellent record at home against top 6 teams, beating cardiff and bristol and drawing with villa
and although not our usual selves second half the most telling fact is that they had zero shots on goal.
i cant join the general praise for the ref, for me 3 blues players and 1 wolves should have been sent off.
i really fear for jota
Not sure what you're on about there Ken, we've played well in most of the games we won this season apart from maybe Reading away and last night.
And looks like Herb's been talking in his sleep. Or maybe that strange outburst was meant for the cricket forum, who knows.
