Game of two halves then?
Lost our fluidity and things got tougher by the sound of it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think if you analysed the stats you'd see that our passing just stopped
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No doubt about that, perhaps we should do away with tactics and style and just have 20 attempts each to pump it into the box?
Good win
Tricky derby away from home, 3 points
Worst I have seen us play this season. Electric for 20 minutes, poor for 70 minutes.
3 points though.
Proper derby. Toughed it out.
Did Bute get the final pass count, I know he was trying ?
Not a classic but never really in doubt once we scored. Gave Birmingham a lot of possession but without letting them anywhere near our goal. Ruddy's kit still clean.
3 points. 6 wins in a row and starting to pull away from third place, with blades and bristol playing each other next. All looking good atill. Plus a rested neves to come back in next match.
That extra man in midfield for Blues in the second half closed out the space and Saiss & N’Daiye really struggled. Our ply became really sloppy and we couldn’t dictate any pace or hold onto possession. Neves would have run that game. Shows the difference in class.
Hopefully, now we have unlimited funds; we’ll get another midfielder in the summer to play alongside Neves.
Jota (Jotter) motm on his 21st birthday.
Hope the lads take him to legs 11 tonight for a special treat.
Yep 3rd v 4th Friday night so both of them can't win. And Cardiff a difficult game at improving Reading next Monday.
So the league table could look even better in a week's time
The result was good. The how was not.
Nuno had spoken.
Darren Carter : "I'm not to sure about this, Jota got fouled, he was upset about that, but Jota made a meal of that.
"The referee has got that wrong in my opinion. It's a very, very harsh one."
That's embarrassing chap
Another great interview from Nuno.
Winning away and a clean sheet when not at full tilt is very good, but a better side could have made us pay dearly.
Still 3 points in the bag and clean sheet is so sweet.
Onwards and upwards, night lads.

Good god. Where did you here that lizard?
The result is what matters at the end, and the start was lovely to watch. Second half not so good, but we ground out a game. As for short passes, I'll always remember a comment from a guy at the far end of Platform 3 at Crewe Junction once. "Mansfield had 207 short pa... hey, isn't that a Class 10 Shunter heading for Chester?"

Hope that was a bit of as tonic for you ohso. G' night.
Can’t wait until Saturday for trip to the game and another nearly full house, well played lads
Due a clean sheet and less goals and got exactly that. Haven't seen any of the match but it sounds like B'ham didnt pose much of a goal threat and out of all the teams in the league it is by far them that I want us to beat. Will never forgive them for escaping relegation on the last day 2 or 3 seasons back the spawy b@stards.
All games are worth 3 points but a win against the empty seats at St Andrews are always worth more.
Can't wait for Saturday and the next wonderful match thread
The points keep coming, we're level with Micks class of 09 so I'm told
Poor but richer than anybody.
Can't remember being so peeed off after winning a game. Allowed themselves to be dictated to in the second half. Should have had more goals. Feckin TV went off 15 minutes from the end so had to tune in to Wolves TV commentary.
However, as has been said, 3 points, 6 in a row, clean sheet, 4 points clear at the top of the table and playing the weakest team in the league at home on Saturday.
Match preview thread will be delivered on Wednesday

Blues didn't have a shot on target all game. First half they posed no threat at all. Second half was different, and we got a bit sloppy.
