I think it’s interesting that the players are not performing. They would run through a brick wall before but there not doing it now. It is one of two things for me....
It’s the book and the players are rightly cheesed off about it. Poch talks very openly about the players He also comes across very big headed. Which is sad cos he seems respectful usually.
The other theory and that’s raymond ver the renowned fitness coach is adamant that when Poch has a full pre season he kills the players. He repeats this on a weekly basis.
For me the players either do not care or are lacking fitness. This is not the same spurs it is lacking fight intensity and character to paraphrase Brendan Rodgers. It looks very fractured look at the way dele is reacting, Eriksen,Dier. There’s something seriously a miss.
I love Poch I really do but there’s gotta be context about his achievements. We finished 3rd in a two horse race and then finished 2nd when city, United all had a rebuilding season.
We are where we naturally should be (take out Burnley) we are not under achieving we are not over achieving.
We beat Madrid but so did getafe. We beat Dortmund but they were on a horrendous run of form.
Poch also inherited Harry Kane one of the best towards in world football that should never be disregarded easily either.
Did Poch have a go at some of his players in this book?

I feel like some of it is down to where our priorities lie and perhaps an acceptance that our best chances to win the league have been and gone, with the CL the main focus now.
We are as good in the CL this season as we were terrible in it last season, and likewise in the league we've been a lot more inconsistent with our performances this time round. It's as if the players and manager have collectively accepted we're never going to win the PL after running it close twice and have consequently gone down a few gears in it.
Not sure the book has anything to do with it. Poch is just making very basic elementary mistakes, by chopping and changing the team. Not rocket science to see that a settled team has more success, than teams that are constantly changed. I mean what other team in the Prem rotate their full-backs the way Spurs do.
We are losing it in the midfield this season. Had one of the best in the league last and now we’ve got a constant makeshift midfield line.
Most important position on the pitch.
Poch is the best manager you had in the last 60 years. Before him you were a midtable club. If he is sacked you will be in big trouble like Arsenal when Wenger leaves. Poch his style of play which is similair to Pep and with the right players can make you title challengers again.
He can 't spend 300m like Pep in one window and get those players but needs a few windows to achieve that.
Every top team can lose away to City. For me he is a topclass manager who with time can get the right players and will improve you year after year.
I still put it down to 1 person why we have not really pushed on and I'm sure spurtle will agree with me and that is a certain Mr Levy. I don't think Levy has fully backed Pochettino properly in the market. You can tell Pochettino is a little fed up of going in the last week of the window starting the season fully unprepared where he come out with that statement the other day in an interview.
I don't think there is anything wrong with our manager but I feel he doesn't get the full backing in the market. If Levy would of supplied Him with a proper striker back up to Kane and another creative midfielder which we desperately needed, who knows where Poch could of taken us this season. Poch has worked wonders with what little he has when you compare to all the other top teams.

Sizzle, I'm not sure where you are going with this mate. It would almost be impossible to find any Spurs fan that wants Pochettino sacked so stop trying to twist things. Sandy is just a little annoyed but I'm almost certain he doesn't want pochettino to go.

Don, not sure why Poch should not be criticised after picking up just 1 point out of the last 15 away from home. Most previous managers with a record like that the supporters would have wanted him sacked.
Poch seems to be untouchable with some of our fans, even though he and the team are not performing.
I call it as I see it, and at the moment Poch is performing very, very badly.
Poch simply cannot keep escaping criticism. That is not to say I want him sacked, but he has to up his game. I am sure Levy is keeping an eye on the situation as well. And he will act in accordance with what is best for the club.

I am not sure I said I wanted him gone, but of course if he is doing the business, he should get no more leeway than any of our previous managers that have won nothing.
The clubs that tend to be the most successful, are the clubs that show no mercy with their managers if they are not performing. It is not very nice, but it is the modern way.
As I said Poch needs to up his game, he cannot live on a 2nd and 3rd place finish for ever. This was the season for progress, and he team is regressing. He has to take his share of the blame, after all he is the man picking the team as the manager. So the buck stops with him.

Weare, I have to agree some of our supporters are going a bit over the top over Poch, he has done well in the league since he has been there. His record in domestic cups has been shocking, and his record in Europe until this weekend was shocking as well. So he aint really our best manager in decades unless he puts some silverware in the cabinet. He may well do that given time, but time isn`t something most managers are given these days, so he really does need to up the ante a bit if he wants to be regarded as our best manager in decades.
He is light-years behind managers like Keith Burkenshaw as it stands.
Sandy, you should mention that Alderweireld and Wanyama are out injured and Sanchez is out banned.
So Pochettino is justified in doing some "tinkering".
That said, I agree that Trippier was not a good choice and should have been off at halftime after having been beaten for pace all afternoon by Sane.
Why no Aurier? I dunno.
And Winks was a disaster so Sissoko should have been on by halftime too.
Davies at minute 90 was perplexing, maybe has something to do with his contract?
Anyways, you're a bit negative these days!
Keith Burkinshaw finished what early 80’s so yes clearly the poch best manager in decades is true.
Winning silverware is nice but you putting Ramos or George Graham ahead of poch?
