Win tonight and were 14 points off 3rd
Good observation 55, but how many points are we above Mick's 09 chancers at the same stage ?
That's the biggie ?
And the answer is:
on 01/01/09 we had 58 points from 26 games, 9 points above 3rd. At the end of the season we won the league by 9 points, 10 ahead of 3rd.
on 01/01/17 we have 58 points from 25 games, 11 points above 3rd.
Just after half-time in this match it stands at:
Nuno 1 Mick 0
.... Brilliant info Nut, just what we were looking for.

Surely Nuno is only 1-0 up if we win or draw tonight. Otherwise we will be on the same amount of points after 26 games.
Interesting to see some of the teams in that division in 2009:
5 are currently playing in the Premier League: Burnley, Crystal Palace, Swansea, Watford and Southampton (who were relegated).
5 more are currently playing in lower divisions: Doncaster, Coventry, Blackpool, Plymouth and Charlton.

Exactly Tam, in that "game" we conceded "after about 51 minutes" which levelled the score but, as we all know, it is the score at the end of the "match" that counts.
On this day in 1993, Wolves beat Watford 4-1 at Vicarage Road in the FA cup.
The goals were scored by Keith Downing, Steve Bull and Andy Mutch + an OG from Dean Holdsworth.
The ref for tonight's game is Scott Duncan who was the clown who failed to get a grip of Colin W*nk*r's cloggers when they were playing keepy uppy with Jota in August.
Brentford are a different prospect to Cardiff, better footballers I would say. Cardiff played into the ref's hands, Brentford may not.
Wonder if Nuno will manage to keep his temper in check tonight. If he gets sent off many more times he's going to watching the games from the South Bank terraces.
Come on admin, my thumbs on fire ?

That is interesting, basically you are saying that each season teams get relegated and promoted so that over a period of years they will find themselves in different divisions

I think we will surpass the 90 points we got that season. But if we lose tonight, Nuno is not ahead of the team from that season, so my point is valid.

Never said it wasn't
Nowt changes the fact we are currently witnessing the best side we have had since the eighties though, I don't need any stats for that observation.
Dean Smith has a pretty good record against us as I recall, for both smallsal and Brentford. Will be good to put him in his place tonight. Full house, 3-0, 12 points clear. Beautiful.
Is Perton getting his knickers in a twist over a lack of transfer activity yet. I can't be bothered to look on his thread
I see Pardew is moaning that his poor old men are tired and can't manage another game after 2 days rest even though they only have to face the equally woeful West Ham.
Perhaps he should have thought about that before taking over a squad of players with an average age of 27.5!

Not yet. He is busy attention seeking and pretending he is a victim of abuse on this forum at the moment.
As an interlude, off topic, how impressive is Mark Wright's wife, Sue?
