Interesting to see some of the teams in that division in 2009:

5 are currently playing in the Premier League: Burnley, Crystal Palace, Swansea, Watford and Southampton (who were relegated).

5 more are currently playing in lower divisions: Doncaster, Coventry, Blackpool, Plymouth and Charlton.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That is interesting, basically you are saying that each season teams get relegated and promoted so that over a period of years they will find themselves in different divisions
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm saying a bit more than that Cinci.

Of the first group 4 have suvrived in the Premier League for 3 years or more. Only Burnley could be classed as a yo-yo side, being involved in 3 promotions and 2 relegations during that period.

Of the 2nd group 4 have remained down for at least 3 years, Charlton went down 2 years ago. So, again, no obvious yo-yo teams.

Therefore, if (when) we get promoted we can expect to outsurvive Mick's side. Unless Fosun dod a runner.

saw stats on the brizzle forum that said the average age of albion first team squads this season was 29.5 years and that they are the only prem team not to have played someone under 25

Interesting site. So our squad which is 3rd youngest in the Champo would be the youngest in the Prem (and the best of course )

Good stats Wolfgang, very interesting to see the top sides around the 26.0 figure. I wonder what the short pass stats would be for those sides ?

Is there a stats site which tells us which sides would take a draw before the match if offered.

The Baggies would, of course

posted on 2/1/18

The Baggies would have taken 38 draws, if offrered, this season. Though that would earn them 38 points, an almost certain relegation total, they would still be better off than what they will actually get.

by all normal judgments a draw with arsenal is a good result, but with 3 points for a win and trying to get out of the bottom 3 its next to useless

tough that

Is Perton getting his knickers in a twist over a lack of transfer activity yet. I can't be bothered to look on his thread
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not yet. He is busy attention seeking and pretending he is a victim of abuse on this forum at the moment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bless him.

common sense , in short supply on here, would for a top 5 team be to win all your home games.

away our record this season against the 6 of the top 12 teams we've played is 2 wins , 2 draws and 2 defeats so 8 draws would have given us 6 points

6 draws

More Twitter bollax I presume.

Just saw that the only club not to improve its points per game after changing managers is WBA. suspect they might get a result tonight though.
