Yeah, but at the end of the season there will be a whole host of clubs fighting for their signatures. There is no guarantee they will want to come to UTD. This way we could force the club and the players hands.

You lot must surely be delighted at the prospect of signing Sanchez ?? He's a brilliant player and will significantly improve your attack. Can't believe we're not at least trying to land him as well.

Sanchez would improve us (Liverpool and Chelsea) immensely.City I'm not quite sure.
I've always maintained that City signing Sanchez would overindulging on their part.

I still expect him at City at some point, just maybe not this month. Will be interesting to see what they do with Aguero when Sanchez does join them?

Bbc understand it that his agent wants 5mil so that would make it 40mil outlay.

I'm guessing agent fees like that are pretty common place though when dealing with the top players, especially when their contact is up or nearly up. Not that I like it but it's surely a part of the game all the top clubs accept.

For £40m you're getting one of the best players in the league. If he is willing to join us (the big question we don't know) then I don't care that we shouldn't be paying so much because of his contract nearly expiring.
