Morning all! It seems to me there are a few quite vicious comments out there this morning.

But it's the difficulty of picking the team that exercises me today.

Where does Ledley fit in? Does Jerome get an sub's appearance? Does Lawrence figure? And Johnny Russell.

Quite a few decisions to justify his wages today folks. Especially since a win is pretty important and a defeat a disaster.

Rowett very rarely makes changes to a winning team. I suspect the only changes will be on the bench.

I don't think Ledley will necessarily drop straight back in. Maybe keep GT sweet by giving him a few games before getting him on a new contract?

Where are these A52 roadworks? I presume past the M1 as I went down the other day and didn't see any? Trying to remain on topic but can't offer much by way of analysis or insight!

I'm not all surprised; there has been some outrageous badgering of #TheHebster since he was given, that's GIVEN, the title of PoTY.

Now, it is customary for me to "throw shade" at the encumbent from the minute of the announcement and evermore thereafter in faux outrage at the result of the vote, just as I do for the <cough> "winner" of the so-called 'Prediction League' and whomever runs it, but this year there seems to have been a marked upturn in the levels of vitriol and it's all got a bit out of hand.

I'm not here to tell anyone else how to 'do' 606 even though I am considerably better at it than all/most of you, but what I would say is maybe it's time we put the running gags of Authors/Commenters and TopicWatch to bed and tried to get on with enjoying the season we're having.

It's no coincidence that the internal vitriol has rocketed in the absence of the Forest fans but we need to regroup and go back to picking on someone our own size that isn't actually us; once promotion is secured and we're back where we belong, we'll be inundated with hordes of plastics from the established outfits so rather we keep our numbers up and be ready for that onslaught.... if we carry on as we are, we'll be left with nowt which, for those of you who cannot imagine what 'nowt' is, it's the sum total of what Spart knows.

Please note: I am more than happy to be the target of your vitriol if you remain so inclined because your opinion means nothing to one of my standing; you may also attack Spart at will given that we know "Where there's no sense, there's no feeling" so you have something to go at if you fancy your chances.

Just remember that, without Heb's number of comments, a greater number of DCFC 606 comments will have been made by the likes of Ang and Igor, and nobody wants that

Ok ok it was me.

It can hardly have come as a surprise that I stuck the boot in though. Everyone knew Heb was nailed on for PoTY this year as soon as Ang won last year.
I had made some comments over the last couple of years about the Exile stitch up and if anyone thought any of this was anything other than banter then I apologise.
But If this is the future, a politically correct banterless board, then it will rapidly lose it's appeal.
If Heb wants to throw his toys out of the pram then let him.

Yes blokes who have been in the forces are usually insensitive to banter but Heb now lives in the Presbyterian heartlands where they take offence at sneezing on the Sabbath.

No need to apologise at all, Rameses; it is and was entirely just #bantz but, as with all things, we never know how someone will react and when it's different to how we would ourselves, then it's a bit pants.

I don't think for one minute, and Heb will hopefully forgive me for speaking presumptiously on his behalf, that anyone was trying to drive anyone away and that maybe the other topics on here which have been debated fiercely have added to the perceived atmosphere.

In conclusion, we'll carry on with or without Heb, and the #bantz must also continue with it's typical rapier vindictiveness, we just need to mix it up a bit. If Heb comes back then he does, if he doesn't then he doesn't... we manage without Eddie, who presumably has passed on by now, we manage without any meaningful contribution from Mapdini, we can manage without Heb if we have to.

Geez, you lot take yourselves far too seriously! 🤣
