Seems feasible to me. Not sure why they’d allow him to go if they had any intention of keeping him, especially in the middle of a relegation dogfight.

You’d imagine they’d dig their heels in and tell us to do one. Not often a manager is rewarded with a new contract after winning 1 in 16 games. Good business from them it seems.

Might have been born and brought up in Barnsley but supports Milton Keynes and Spurs more than his home town.
Anything to have a pop, egged on by that Durham creature.
Cannot express the contempt with which I hold the whole radio station.

May be may be & why not ? But he was asked who he holds in regard & he said Barnsley over Leeds, but understood why PH left then said as above in OP. No he wasn't egged on, not on air anyway.

Mate I was born in Oldham, lived most of my life close to London but I could never support any team other than Leeds.
Do not trust the guy one jot, think he knows f'all about football and his opinions count for nothing.

I know I know, he is just spouting off but, what he said does make you wonder

Sorry lad but we're higher than Barnsley so in the food chain. There are teams above us in it of course, but not the Tykes

So, if he does well, we could also be a stepping stone!

Did he not sign his new contract last week?..

If so for them to rip us off it must mean Leeds were talking with them last week!..

Were they talking last week?.....if not then its bull!..

Very suspicious that he signed a new contract a week ago when they have only won 1 in 18 or so!

TC had been walking a fine line for weeks

If AR sacking him is a reaction to losing 1 game then he aint much better than MC. He lost thd battle weeks ago, it was a matter of when. Cardiff was 1 game too many etc....

£400k is hardly gonna save their season.

It’s conspiracy theory time.

Next it will be Agent Hecky relegating the club he hates!

People need to get a grip. It might be life and death to some supporters but it isn’t to the managers, players and (most) owners. To them it’s just a job that they want to do to the best of their ability.

Ahhhhhh Darren Gough, the Barnsley and Tottenham supporting clown who has a season ticket at MK Dons.

He shouldn't be allowed to discuss football on the radio.

The new contract had been in place for weeks, I believe. Was just only announced last week.

In that case, if true of course, he was probably edging his bets.......and why not? There is no loyalty in football these days.... other than to money.

If he was tapped up, would there not be a charge on the way?..

Or is it allowed these days?..
