Good read Wetherby, I agree we need to be at them from the first minute to the ninetieth. They’re on a good run but it’s Bournemouth not Man City, they are beatable, but we can’t sit back in the hope of keeping them at bay.
Every game is massive from now on, we can’t afford to go into the last few games needing points to stay up, we could do with being safe before then π€
I’m going for my usual 2-1 to us with Ince and Pritchard the scorers.
5 South coast retirement plans Wethers
The 'grey army' come North.
Right off the bat, edged between Keeper & 1st slip, I can only see a point in this for TOWN.
And I think we are going to have to play very well at that for the small reward, even if we are going to
achieve that.
Why the negativity.
Not so much feeling 'down'....as trying to be realistic.
As mentioned, They - In the reality of a superb run of form by Prem league standards, And us, Town..just about hanging on with that much needed win mid-week.
Again lets be realistic, Against a lowly Championship side.
Lets not forget Bournemouth's willingness to counter attack against us in the away fixture despite being down to 10 men ! It would appear they have the so called Terrier spirit of,
being 'Brave'
'No Limits'
Which they have just replicated again in their away fixture v Chelsea no less. That was an away result not to be sniffed at, And for me endorses what most of us in our merry little band of terriers have been asking for,
"Give it a go".
Because one things for certain come Sunday.
They will.
So why the pessimism on my part,
Well. I do think TOWN will come out with a new mindset, And Intend to rekindle the form we witnessed in the early part of the season,
this game will be a back & forth ding dong battle through out - great for the TV audience btw -
But,
They clearly know how to find the back of the net if opportunities arise, where we on the other hand....
Yeah yeah we found the back of the net with ease on Tuesday, But it was from 90 minutes onwards in the main, against a side that had run out of
A positive though from our point of view none the less.
The tea leaves say:- <--
A superb goal keeping performance By Lossl, restricting them to 1 goal,
And a visually much improved intent going forward with Pritchard involved, all backed up by that essential & Terrific 12th man in Full support to carry us through for a 1-1 draw.
Against this side. (It's NOT 'just' Bournemouth) That will convince me we have found a bundle of confidence, And can kick on from this point forward to the end of the season.
Lets see how it turns out.
Right from the kick-off. 'GERINTOEM'.
3-1 home win! The last time I predicted a win we lost! π
https://www.theguardian.com/football/who-scored-blog/2018/feb/06/bournemouth-premier-league-form-team-2018
This illustrates the size of the task we are up against tomorrow.
Lets keep it REAL
A point will be a well earned bonus., And a huge positive Improvement.
In truth, this is probably a far harder game in the scheme of things than the home tie v Everton will be.
We just need a break to make it happen for us.. Sunday is huge... Last home league game for a month!
Five ripe cherries from me!
πππππ
Ripe cherries ready for the picking, that is! This encounter could be a cracker for little Huddersfield, because we are a small dog and we like chewing cherries.
I’d go with Depoitre and Mounié up front, as long as they are high up the pitch and working TOGETHER. So far, not impressed when they have been on at the same time, they don’t seem to ‘click’.
Fantastic kick off time! Sunday early evening is superb for Darn and I. Our Sunday won’t be wrecked by big lay ins and afternoon naps. Well, Darn has his afternoon naps anyhow, bless.
π
If Pritchard doesn’t start, then I’d seriously question why Wagner bought him. Please, no more Mooy, put him out to pasture! Billing is an enigma, complete sheite and then a MOTM performance. Ince seems to be making ground, likewise Quaner.
Are the Bournemouth defenders overly tall? If not, an ideal match to get some decent crosses in for Depoitre and Mounié. Depoitre will definitely play, he only had a few stitches in his foot at half time against Man Utd.
π π
Lössl will no doubt do the odd ‘Grobbelaar’ within the match...and no doubt make the odd outstanding save too.
πΆ Jonas Lössl, he’s got no tash, but we don’t care! πΆ
I think Wagner knows he’ll get crucified if he has the team sitting back against Bournemouth. This is a get at ‘em encounter. Our Premier League status is at stake. Trying saying that sober!
STOP THE PRESS LV69!
I’m going to watch Wagner pre match comments. I’ll be back soon...
OK, much sheite was spoken, as usual! Main thing I took from it, is we have to fight. Better get Hef on then David, he likes to fight!
ππ
I'm going for a 2-1 to Town. Bollax what Merson and Lawrenson have predicted.
Come on Wagner, let the small dog off the leash!
He has me bang to rights guys !
Afternoon 'grandad' naps are becoming habitual,
However................
I'm usually up & at it in the garden before 'she' gets up.. Dawn,.... not the wife
Beats being ligged'i bed tuggin' untill 10 every morning.. No wonder Agent 69's aluz JIGGERED.
LV...
Bottom of the Guardian report about Bournemouth..
Did you see which TOWN player had made the 'Premier league team of the MONTH' !!!
Their choice will astound you,
Er...might be a tricky one that...Mooy?
Currently on sky bet, town to win 3-1 is 40/1 as a boost.
Just stuck £2 on it....... We'll get smashed now
What's 3-0 to Town Hydy?
If Town aren't competitive today, then Wagner's plan has been shafted.
3-3 is 80/1, get a tenner on that!
If wagner has us sitting back then i,m in the dugout!
Just shelled out for utd ticket and west brom ticket...give us something to cheer wagner or fook off!!
I,ll strangle him for ya darnπ
Town 3-1 bornmuff
Depoitre and Schindler doubtful for tomorrow...
Just listened to that ridiculous pre game interview myself LV
To Quote Walt....
He's a tool.
Wagner:-
'The season starts now' ?
Oh ! unlike the rest of us, (well most of us) He finally realizes the dire situation we are in. he's talking like we've played out of our socks to be where we are right now ?
er......
We were close on 20/21 pts, When most of the clubs above us now were on the 14 or 15 threshold. But who now see themselves around the high 20's, 30 mark.
FFS....he's been in hibernation.
Since that time, Stoke,(x2).. Burnley, West Ham, Southampton. !
There were a couple of 'winnable' games among that lot . But not much shown in regard to this "In it together bravery" he keeps digging up.
Never mind Wagner..& what he says.
I'd personally even argue toe to toe with Alex Ferguson if he tried to tell me it's easier to come from behind, after being in a higher placed position in the league....
"Now we don't have to look over our shoulder"...
Blah Blah Blah...
If Arroloui had come out with those comments we'd all have been & calling him a clown.
Not that he would in a serious manner anyway, such was his humour.
But Wagner actually does believe it.
In regard to tactics & selections.
Looking at it in that Depoitre is out (or very doubtful).
Mounie will start I think that's a given. So.....
It's ESSENTIAL he is given every opportunity to shine,
which means cross' have to be flying in - at exactly the right time - throughout,
For me, That means Hadergjonaj has to start, He's been the best, most accurate crosser of a ball we have witnessed this season, And the Lad loves to drive forward. (& has the stamina to get back into position when needed).
Agree with that Darn!
I reckon Depoitre will start though, with Mounié. Plenty of time has passed for the wound to heel in Depoitre’s foot. If it was bad, he’d have not turned out for the second half against Man Utd.
Midfield has to be bang on today. Ince, VLP and Quaner a must for me. Hogg and Billing (if the tall lad is back on form) in there to break up the Cherries.
I doubt Schindler will play, hence it’s vital that Bournemouth get nowhere near our defence. I’d drop Kongolo in the middle, Flo on the right, but who on the left? I suppose Löwe!
Also Agree there LV....
Ah.... ..........................
But yeah, If both strikers available, even more so for Hadergjonaj to start
Back line needs to be rough house
How about ..........................................
WHITEHEAD ?
King Kong prefers 'left', so
No2 Hadergjonaj
No5 Whitehead
No3 Kongolo
Whitehead has his faults, But he also has a determination & self belief that is required for such an important game..
But we all know it will be Bulk carrier SS-Jorgensen . Being by-passed & locked up in tight turns.
Whitehead in the middle of a back three?
Have you lost your mind man? Why did you have to go and spoil our bromance fest?
Whitehead would be looking at shadows, never mind chasing 'em!
Spurs v Arsenal match is poor, not like a derby match. Spurs have the edge, Arsenal looking to hit on the counter. However, it’s been like a sheite Championship match!
4 Yorkshire clubs going nowhere in the Championship... π
Tape cassette is a disgrace for Arsenal! Leeds losing again
