The current state of the 147lb division leaves little opportunity for Khan to win a title in my opinion. What champion does he beat at the weight and more importantly which top fighter does he beat at 147?
-------------
well he wants Spence - I can't see Khan beating him though.
Khan has changed his tune again. Ever since Eddie mentioned Wembley he seems up for it.
Let's be honest Spence, Thurman and Crawford beat Khan with ease and that's for less money.
80k at Wembley, PPV against Brook is the best option. He will make 10 times more and then can call it a day.
Khan will take the Brook fight without doubt, he might go for a title first I imagine. The Brook fight will happen when there is no other big fights out there for him. It will be both of their retirement pots. Khan has avoided the fight so far in his career as the winner will be known as the no1 in UK at that sorta weight. The loser wont have many options available to them hence why it hasnt been made yet.

Khan can’t make his mind up. Says he wants to win a title at 147 before he even considers moving up, then says he wants the legacy of a stadium fight over a title as he’s won titles before.
Assuming the fight was made with Brook, what do you think a fair split would be? I’d honestly say 50/50. Most of Khan’s resume is pre-2012 so I don’t see how that is relevant now.
Khan is a bigger sell than brook even with 2 years out the ring imo.

He may take the fight but at what juncture? I don't want to see them make the fight when they are 40. Brook and Khan are in the midst or the latter stages of their prime now so it makes sense to make it as soon as possible. If either man fights the top guys and gets beaten, the fight loses value.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I can see Khan fighting a name next that isnt dangerous but is well known. I think that is the route he was looking to take when he name dropped Broner. He would love to fight him cos he would look good against him and is a name. Then he will fight Brook unless one of the major belt holders loses (all current belt holders defo beat Khan with the exception of possibly Horn). I also think Khan would take Manny. Was it a 3 fight deal he signed with Matchroom.. if so his last fight with them will be Brook

Yeah Khan signed a 3 fight deal. There’s no ‘right’ way to have a boxing career, but he’s wasted so much of it chasing money as opposed to belts. I read that he’s not had more than 1 fight a year since 2011? Admittedly Ramadan is a factor, but that’s not a reason for not trying to avenge the Garcia defeat and get in the title picture.
Kelly and ritson press conference tomorrow, will be getting tickets. First pro event I'll have went to. Anyone been at any big ones over the past few years?

Pretty sad to see Brook following Khan around like a lost puppy. This fight is nothing more than a domestic scrap now and should just accept they are in different lanes. Seems Brook is chasing a payday against Khan rather than titles which is a shame as he could be a force at SW.
Not sure what Khan's plan is as he keeps talking about wanting to be a champion at 147, but it's hard to believe he or Hearn would sign that deal without the carat of a payday against Brook. Don't think Khan will budge too much on the weight issue so will probably offer a take it or leave it at 147-8.

Nah, hoping for repeat not revenge. Not that I’m a Bellew fan, just think that Haye is extremely crass and classless. Considering the dangers of boxing and the tragedies that have taken place, I really don’t like all of his ‘I’m going to put you in hospital... you’ll be eating food through a straw....’ stuff he’s come out with. Just find it very disrespectful and tasteless

when it comes to this sorta stuff Bellew is just as bad, he has a history of saying very similar things before in his career. Most people only know of Bellew for the last couple of years and have either forgotten his past or havent seen it.
It is funny that Khan has always said what an easy fight Brook would be for him as he's not in his league etc and yet Khan would only be willing to fight Brook at 147 even though he's just fought at a catch-weight in this return fight.
Khan never wanted this fight. Both now under Hearn makes it more likely but I doubt it will ever happen. Khan always has an excuse not to take it. Supposedly now he's dreaming of winning major belts at 147. Will never happen with the likes of Spence and Thurman knocking about. Both eat Khan for a pre breakfast snack.
Just to add Khan saying that he wants belts at 147 and yet when Brook had the IBF strap at 147 Khan kept saying that it wasn't a big enough fight even though everyone knows that fight would have generated huge money and would have been a massive pay day for Khan.
All Khan's done is just keep moving the goal posts. He's never wanted to fight Brook and will continue to evade him sadly. Robbing us of a classic British fight.

Find that hard to believe.
Why would AJ take 35 million pound offer when he can make a lot more at wembley and I doubt wilders team have that much money to offer.
------------------------------
I totally get what you're saying, but I'm sick of this fight being about money... lets just get it on, too easy for fighters to hide behind the money aspect so they don;t have to fight.
I'd rather then just say 50/50, for the first fight, then 70 / 30 to the winner in the rematch. who can refuse that? - if that offer / deal was made nobody could run scared !
Wilder has 40 fights, 40 wins and 39 KO's it screams of "I want to finish my career on zero losses", sport is supposed to be competitive. ducking people who might beat you isn;t sport! - he won;t go near Whyte because he knows he might get beat!
