blame on both sides, lpool have some noob heads and so do we
However this Liverpool rivalry has only come about since we started finishing above yourselves regularly.
=======================================================
Yes, these are temporary ‘rivalries’ (and therefore, not really ‘rivalries’ at all). Like the ones with Chelsea, when we were meeting them in the CL a lot, and going back all the way to Nottingham Forest, Leeds, etc.
Though not Leicester, because it’s not just about “finishing above us”. (And it doesn’t appear to have abated now that we’re above you).
It will fade, like the others.

Spurs fans see Liverpool as an easy target as we havent won anything in recent times. We see Spurs as an annoyance, win nothing ever but currently a decent side competing for a top4 spot with us. In reality once spurs sell their best players theyll slip into obscurity again. Ive a mate whos a Spurs fan and he only ever posts liverpool nonsense on FB and whatsapp. Its an inferiority complex that would be pointless to use against City Chelsea United as they are constantly successful. So liverpool being their only output of their frustrations
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My experience of this is quite different, Arsenal hate us for obvious reasons, Chelsea and Spurs have a lot of history, West Ham is completely one sided. However this Liverpool rivalry has only come about since we started finishing above yourselves regularly. The amount of jealous Pool fans I know who get wound up when we are being talked about instead of them. You don't get this with City or United fans, they take the banter and give it back, Liverpool seem to get really upset.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do they get really upset though?
This is the same as the whole 'rattled' thing. Finishing above somebody should not be considered something to shout about unless the person you finish above finishes second.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I find the Lpool fans that I know and work with to be by far the most defensive of any sort of criticism. Lots of fans are passionate but I know too many who take light criticism to heart. Even on this thread me stating that I feel Liverpool would be our best bet if we make the QFs ( and vice versa we would be best for Lpool ) has drawn out some very paranoid responses.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or maybe just disagree with you?
Doesn't make it paranoid ffs
This is the arrogance people are talking about. "They don't agree with me so they must be paranoid or rattled".

You just have to look at the amount of Spurs fans banned from 'Pools board to understand that they can't take it.
Conversely, how many Liverpool fans are banned from ours. Few if any.
I think Spurs fans have had it tough for so long, we have developed a good sense of humour about football and our club. Liverpool the once dominant force, reduced to also-rans and top 4 regulars, and then down to 7th and 8th place, its a transition many fans have found difficult to take and become sensitive and very defensive (if only their actual defence was as strong ). and while renowned for the "scouse sense of humour" for many this does not apply when it comes to their football club.
With Spurs fans, there is definitely a sense that we don't get the deserved respect, so may be a bit of an inferiority complex...so it feels good to try and shoot down the once mighty LFC, and even more fun seeing as most take it so badly !

This is stuff that would embarrass normal fans but not Liverpool . They love these things out of being so pathetic and average . a book celebrating 2nd blowing the title in comedic fashion with they're little over rated icon slipping is actually very scouse like . clowns who buy this deserve to be ripped off

I tried to buy this in Waterstones but it was raining outside and I slipped. Whilst I was recovering Demba Ba nipped in and got the last copy.
I hear it's a good read though and the ending is great.

Nobody on the cover has eyes.
That's because they literally cried their eyes out when Gerrard fell over and did the world a favour.
I've not read the book, but I know it'll be filled with enough emotive hyperbole to make anybody physically sick.

Was it produced by anything officially Liverpool?
Now, was you DVD of you drawing games?
The end.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In fairness is was a classic game of football 4-4, when Spurs we 3-1 and 4-2 down, involving some brilliant goals (bentley volley from 40 yards) and a last minute equaliser away at the hated rivals. A game that will be long remembered by Spurs fans.
If it were 2-2 at home to WBA, in an inconsequential game vs relegation fodder not only would there be no dvd, there'd be no one walking off the pitch happy, let alone celebrating liked they'd won a cup.
I kept that Arsenal game on Sky+ for ages, and watched it several times.
