I don’t think we are playing much different to when we were winning. It’s just that things were going for us now they arn’t. Balls are dropping for the oppo where before they were falling for us.
The only time I thought we have been rubbish during this poor run was the second half against Norwich.

I though Palmer was lucky not to get sent off today and have a 3 match ban

Just seen the lowlights.

Had our chances to grab a draw.

In this situation we tend to need a scapegoat. Given that he is without internet, I unreservedly blame Ang.

I'm surprised JR isn't getting it in the neck, fecking yank.

Well I did caution against him leaving. But then I did so with Sammon. And Miller. And Commons......I possibly have a blind spot here.....

We weren't that bad, had our chances. Keogh definitely at fault for both goal but for both goals we had chance to clear the ball before there was any danger..

Our main problem in the first half was lack of pace in midfield. When we had runners like Hughes, Hendrick and Bryson we could put pressure on the opposition's midfield. Cairney today and when Norwich played, Maddison, were both given the freedom of Pride Park. We improved when Palmer came on as he has pace.

Would Russell have helped then Spart?

Hard to say but at least he was contributing goals before he decided to go West young man. We don't seem to have done much without him.

How was Keogh at fault for the first goal? The ball hit Forsyth in the face after Huddlestone jumped in front of him and confused him. Forsyth then deflected it into the net.

I thought it was Forsyth but the guy next to me said it was Keogh. Him being younger, I believed his eyes rather than my own.

"A mistake by Richard Keogh gifted possession to Johansen, who played in teenager Sessengon for his 13th goal in his past 18 Championship matches."

From the BBC match report.......

That was the 2 nd goal.

Some people always want it to be Keogh. Forsyth was maybe a bit unlucky but he was in an odd position. Rowett said he should have come out quicker after the corner was taken. Keogh’s attempted pass for the second was wrong. Small things really but decision-making is the most important part of football. When players are confident they do the right thing instinctively.

The second is all MistaKeogh but he was absolutely nowhere near the melee for the first.

Some might suggest a central defender SHOULD be in the centre of goal and involved in the action rather than yards beyond the far post and in 10 yards of space with both feet planted, especially on a short corner, but that's mere conjecture. Having seen his 'getting involved' for their second and match-winning goal, perhaps better he keep to himself whenever someone is attacking.

Come on. It hit his face and could have gone anywhere but fell to their man and it still needed a deflection to go in.
Those are the breaks we were getting earlier in the season. Fulham are no better than us and neither are Cardiff. It’s all about the breaks and Fulham and Cardiff will falter again when the worm turns. Since the turn of the year we’ve been getting nothing.
It’s very small margins in this league but in the end the luck will even itself out and I predict we’ll finish comfortably in the playoffs.
We were on top even after they scored. Their second was against the run of play too. The heads went down a little especially Vydra. We gave it a go in the second half but you could see us trying to will it in. A bit more composure and we’d have beaten them
Fulham are no world beaters they just got the breaks. Being first to the second ball is easy when it bounces in your direction. I lost count of the number of times we harried the ball lose for to to fall to one of them.

Davies was very panicky today though much better second half. The whole team is short on confidence. Sometimes players then over-compensate by trying to do too much in the wrong place or at the wrong time. Only Huddlestone looked composed today and Palmer was at least confident when he came on. All Fulham’s players looked comfortable as comes with a good run. All of ours were looking just as comfortable not so long ago.

You give yourself more chance of collecting the loose ball if your central defender is central rather than hiding, but y'all continue to pretend he wasn't miles out of position if it helps you feel better.

posted on 3/3/18

Forsyth was in the position you claim is the ideal one for a defender, 666, and it led to a goal. Had he not been there, the ball would have travelled harmlessly to Carson.

Righto, Vidals: righto. MistaKeogh had a blinder again today, as per, and it's entirely inexplicable that we lost.. nowt but unlucky

Keogh made the mistake that led to the second goal. Other than that I thought he had an average game. In the last few games he has not played badly but both he and Davies are well below the exemplary standard of not so long ago, at least that’s what I think.

I thought Fulham deserved to win today but there was a lot that reminded me of the home game against Villa, with opposing players of good quality but not so brilliant that we should not be able to cope if doing our jobs well. Fulham looked very vulnerable defensively early on. Had we scored first I think we might easily have kept them at arm’s length and won. Vydra has lost his sharpness and we are no longer rock-solid defensively. Like Rameses said the margins are very tight and only small differences in the levels of performance at either end have shifted the odds against us.

Spare a thought for Ang - stuck behind snowdrfts and with no internet connection until new router arrives.
He sends apologies for failing his shift yesterday

What a trooper!

No excuse whatsoever and shows a feeble lack of innovation.

We communicate using a coat hanger, a tethered seagull on a string with an aluminium collar, and an obsolete microwave cooker we found in a skip.

A router is something we use on constipated cows.....
