Saw Crane pulled out, shame that as he looked promising against the Aussies
Jack leach a proper real spin bowler brought into the squad. Still be moeen in nz but going to need leach in Sri Lanka next winter.

The Ashes tour was extremely tough. This series might not be quite so hard but it's still far from easy. It could be a last chance for players such as Vince and Stoneman.
I think Stoneman and Vince will struggle, it's only 2 tests though so I assume we'll go with the same XI for the tests barring injury. Livingstone did well in the warm up match but I don't see a place for him in the line up yet. Not sure he's got what it takes to step up but he's certainly a talented player.
Cook
Stoneman
Vince
Root
Malan
Stokes
Bairstow
Ali
Woakes
Broad
Anderson
I assume this'll be the line up. Wood opened with Anderson in the warm up game but we'll surely go back to Broad for the tests. Having Stokes back gives us more balance, difficult to call but I reckon one of the games will be a draw so it'll be 1-0 one way or the other. I'll be optimistic and go for us!
Will Stokes give us balance though? Rumours are that he will play as a batsman only, and don't think he's good enough to be there purely as a batsman. Good to see Leach finally get a call-up
Totally Radical but I would go with cook, bairstow, root, malan, Vince, livingstone, stokes, woakes, Broad, Anderson, leach.

Root made a ton in the warm-up. Stoneman hit 48 which might help him.

I didn't know he was struggling although I'm now reading that he's on track to bowl in the first test. Think he'd get in as a batsman anyway considering that's a weak are of our side nd he's improving all the time.
Stokes has bowled a few overs indoors (weather wasn't great).
Cook out early as usual and Root for a duck. Another fail for him batting at 3.
Shambolic from England, absolute disgrace..
Just checked the score
Fack off England! What a bunch of bottlers
What the blinking fack.....
Only 50 tests played at Eden park..since 1930...Lords is the highest with 135..
Bit surprised with those figures...thought it'd be more

Only 50 at Edgbaston too
England should thank Overton that they at least got 58
Its only embarrassing to England fans. Not one of the England batting line up cared 1 jot. No doubt the old rhetoric will be turfed out after we lose..
While the ecb are lining their pockets with Tv revenue.
Pathetic display. Bowlers are doing okay but they babe nothing to work with. Well played Kane.
Candlestick the England test rankings is taking a massive nose dive..
Its a pretty pathetic joke if you ask me..Nearly has bad has the 1990s.
